The Glorious #1 - [ Author : Zell

Fantasy Square. Just two words that would have meant
nothing to us whatsoever before we decided to have a
look through the final fantasy sites online. When we
saw it there we just had a look for the hell of it,
expecting to find some poorly designed site which was
never updated. How wrong we were.
What we saw was far from what we had expected. For me,
what I saw was the best laid out site I had ever seen
(although I found FS a month into getting the net so
I didn't have much to base it on) and I knew straight
away that it was special. I have to say that I didn't
pay much attention to any feature on the site apart
from the forums. What a great place to start at. I had
been looking around the net for what felt like an eternity
looking for a place that I would feel at home at. I
decided that this site could be it, but then I had thought
that for every other site and forum I had been on. I
had no idea that this time I was right.
As the forums loaded up, I felt straight away that I
belonged here, so much so that I didn't look at a single
part of the forums before registering. 'A name, a name;
Zell, that will do I guess'. I went straight to the
final fantasy eight section, and that's where I stayed
for quite some time. The topics I saw just made me want
to post, and I could tell straight away that the people
here were a great group of friendly people. I made my
first topic, and straight away I had replies coming
in. They weren't looking down on me because I was a
newbie. They just accepted me as one of them, which
no one at any other forums had ever done.
Well, since then I have become one of the head-honcho's
at the forums, along with Tim and Luke, as I am an administrator.
That truly shows what a great place FS is. I had been
accepted by the staff within a month of being here and
made a staff member. Slowly I was given a few more jobs
to do, and as I've said, have lately become an admin.
In my wildest of dreams I could never have imagined
what FS had in store for me when I first joined.
It has been possible for a 15-year-old kid to rise to
these levels at this wonderful place, so who knows what
someone else could do. We are all part of a family on
FS. All of us are part of a small little family, all
of us friends, or at least respective of each other
to keep the peace, and we welcome any new members into
our family. This family is full of some of the most
wonderful and talented (have a look at the fanfics and
fanart) people I have ever had the good fortune to meet.

I would like to say thanks to all the members of this
family for the great times I've had there and will hopefully
continue to have. I'm sure you all feel the same as
me about this wonderful place. This site. This forum.
