Final Fantasy 7: The Return of the Crisis Chapter 6: Within the FSD Zone Barret and Cid pushed the wall closed as everyone walked into the dark tunnel, the tunnel then once again returned to darkness. The group lit on the torch they have prepared earlier on and scanned the place. The metal slabs galvanised on the wall of the tunnel was already rusted as it is located underground. Series of pipeline was screwed tightly on the walls. Due to the history of this tunnel, most of the pipes were leaking, causing a small flood of oil and water on the ground. "Hey guys, look there." Welson said as he stopped his torch light on a couple of cables attached on the wall, "It's electricity cable, that proves that FSD Zone will lead to some place that need electricity source. Most possiblely the secret lab." "Yeah, you're right. Those are electricity cable. But I still don't know why Midgar Shinra have kept FSD Zone as a secret to me." Reeve said, still don't get why. "Quit talking! We got more important stuff to do! Lets gooooooo!!" Yuffie shouted, losing her patience. Everyone continued their way forward. They eventually reached a wooden door blocking the whole tunnel. Tifa took a step forward and gave the wooden door a taste of her Premium Heart. The wooden door collapsed, bring up water and oil off the ground as it fall. A gust of wind blew out of the door opening, smoke was brought out with it. When Tifa thought it was safe to go in, she was wrong. A dark figure dashed out of the smoke and assaulted Tifa. When Tifa finally noticed, the dark figure were only centimetres away from her, she screamed. A loud BANG! then somehow, the dark figure dropped to the ground. Everyone turned around and looked at the source of the sound, it was Vincent's Death Penalty. "What the hell is that thing??" Barret asked as he stared at the dark figure. ".....Mako infected Low Class SOLDIER.....Check him out....." Vincent said as he blew off the smoke coming from the tip of Death Penalty. Then he moved his torch light on the dark figure. Everyone moved closer and observed the dark figure. It is wearing Low Class SOLDIER's blue uniform, half torn. Cloud shoved his right foot under the Low Class SOLDIER and flipped it over, then he moved the torch light around its body. Skin can be seen under the half torn uniform, but it ain't human's, it is as green as Mako. But thats not the only feature that makes the skin inhumane, there's odds and bumps on it too. Several cuts and wounds can be clearly seen on the body, but the blood coming out is not red, it's purple. A pink tentacle, dripping venomous liquids, replaced the old right arm of the SOLDIER. "The uniform looks like Low CLass SOLDIER's uniform, but why did the person turn into such a beast?" Cloud asked. "...Incapable to handle the Mako energy injected into his body......Mako mutation..." Vincent explained. Cid got a flash in his mind then asked Vincent suspectingly, "Vincent, how do you know all this? When we were at the Central Control System, when you had heard the name 'FSD Zone' your face tells me that you knew something about this. So do you?" Cid's tone became more and more suspicious as the sentence ends. A moment of sadness went on Vincent's face, but he soon hid it, returning to his emotionless face he said, "...Since you suspect me, I will have to tell the truth... This place was built since the start of the Shinra Company, since the completion of Midgar...From that time on, Shinra starts to recruit people to join SOLDIER from all over the world. I was interested in it, so I joined....." Vincent stopped for while, but when he opened his mouth again, he was interrupted by Cait Sith. "It doesn't matter if you know anything about this place not. What does matter is we stop Jenova and Sephiroth from reviving! We don't have time for past stories!" Red XIII added, "Cait Sith is right, we leave everything aside and concentrate on stopping them from reviving. Vincent, explain to us after this is finished." Vincent shrugged and said, "...Fine..." then he continued, "...We beter move on fast ...Hojo got a few Mako Energy capsules stored in that secret lab, I am unsure that the trembling of earth created by Meteor didn't bring those capsules on those plants..." Cid threw another suspecting look on Vincent, but finally held down the grewing suspicion in his mind. He placed Venus Gospel in his right hand and walked into the opening. Seeing that Cid still suspect him, Vincent sighed and followed in. Cloud shrugged and led the rest through the door. Tifa remained behind for a while and stared at the corpse. "Unbelievable" she thought, "We thought we had broke every single mystery of Shinra since the death of Sephiroth. But more and more mysteries appeared after we had return- ed to Midgar. Will the mystery chain of Midgar ever end?" She crouched and observed the corpse while she was thinking."Whats this?" her eyes spotted a small booklet in the pocket of the half torn blue SOLDIER uniform of the corpse. She pulled out the small booklet and brought it under the dim light. A label was attached to the cover which read, 'Low Class SOLDIER: Elinworth Trobec's Diary'. "A diary that Midgar Shinra would issue to every new member of SOLDIER. It might contain some valuable information." she thought as she slid the diary into her pocket. She then stood up and walked off to catch up to the others. After a short distance since she passed through the door, a winding passage appeared infront of her. An unusual flow of fluid was under her feet, a viscous fluid. She gradually moved her line of sight onto the area a bit infront of her. A pile of stuff was there, but she could not see clearly of what it is. She bent down and placed her finger in viscous fluid, then place it under the torch light. A purplish liquid was on her finger. "Mutated SOLDIER's blood..." she said to herself as she fiddled with it under the torch light. Just before she was about to wipe the purplish blood off with tissues, an unknown force entered her body via her finger. She can feel this unknown force scattered around her body on the moment it enters. She remained paralysed until this unknown force settled down. Even though this is weird, but the weirdest point is that Tifa never remebered anything about his being happening. She just wiped off the purplish blood off her finger and then continued her way. But before she went any further, she stopped again and moved her torch light to the pile of stuff, trying to find out what it is. The torch light revealed a couple of mutated SOLDIER's corpse, all stacked together. Gun shot wounds, spear holes, sword cuts could be seen on the corpse. "Looks like Vincent, Cid, Cloud and others already cleared out the obstacle. I have to hurry and catch up." Tifa thought as she ran to the end of the winding passage.
