PAST OPERATIONS     Chapter 3

The grubby-faced lady looked at Zack

G.F lady: Anything else?
Zack: I’ll have some fruit please.
G.F lady: Which one?
Zack: Mmmmmm….. Surprise me.
G.F lady: Ok.

The lady placed an apple along with a knife and fork and the rest of his order on a 
tray, and smiled.

G.F lady: Here you go, a nice rich tasty apple to start the day!
Zack: O…k

Zack grinned sarcastically and walked away.

Zack: Hey you guys!

Zack sat down next to two other guys. One with spiked-down ginger hair, his name 
was Lance.
  The other one had short spiky blonde hair with streaks of black, his name was Kray. 
They both wore SOLDIER uniforms (first class).

Kray: Well , well ,well. If it isn’t  the #1 un-healthy food champion.
Zack: If I’m so un-healthy, what’s this?

Zack held up the green apple to Kray’s face with a smirk.

Lance: Do my eyes deceive me, or is that a small green fruit?

Lance was been very sarcastic. Kray began to laugh out loud while Zack was put to 
shame.

Zack: Oh, come on guys. Gimme a break.
Lance: Ok. It’s just we’ve hardly ever seen you eat a healthy piece of fruit.
Zack: Well… I’m changing.

Zack stood up from his table to give a joke-type speech.

Zack: I, Zack of first class soldier vowel to eat a piece of healthy food each meal… 
And maybe snack.

Kray: Shinra recruitments six o’clock.

Zack suddenly sat down in embarrassment and turned around.

Lance: Look at’em. They must be good to get this far.
Kray: It’s a shame we do real missions, now that we’re first class.

Zack suddenly remembered about Strife.

Zack: Have any of you guys heard of someone called… Strife, he’s new.
Lance: Cloud Strife. He’s the guy who also owns a buster sword. Has blonde hair in        
the same style as yours Zack. Also he’s already been injected

Zack: Mako eyes…. Just like us. Freaks me out.
Kray: Invented by professor Hojo. A sign of SOLDIER.

Zack looked around for a shinra troop with mako eyes. Until he found him.

Zack: There! There he is!
Lance: Lets talk to him.

The three got up and began to walk up to Cloud, when suddenly, a rush of people got 
in their way. And Cloud was gone, just like that.

Zack: Damn!
Kray: At least we know he’s in a shinra troop suit and has mako eyes.
Lance: We’ve only got to thank Hojo for that… I wonder what he’s up to now?
