FFVII Fan Fiction Submitted by: Ultima Weapon The Sign (Part 3) *This is the continuation from "The Sign Part 2... Cloud Strife is the narrrator in, which Aeris Gainsborough, Tifa and the rest of the VII cast are also metioned... WHACK! Tifa slapped me in the face. Guess I must've been daydreaming. "Wha -- what happened???" I asked in a shaky voice. "You fell asleep in the engine room while oiling the tanker you idiot!!!" Cid answered from the computers where in he was punching a few command keys. "What about the green glow that I was glowing in???" I asked scratching my head. "It's gone now Cloud remember? That was a day ago, you fell asleep for almost the whole yesterday." Tifa calmly aswered my question. "Where are the others?" I asked Tifa. "Well, after we landed this thing in the center of Midgar, Barrett went to visit Marlene along with Cait Sith. Yuffie's sleeping in an inn, Vincent and Red XIII are somewhere in the Wall Market buying some items." Tifa said. "Oh. So it's just the three of us here then," I concluded and walked up to the platform with the borken railbars. Tifa walked towards me in the platform and started massaging my shoulders softly. "Tifa, let's go visit Aeris in the church's flowerbed." I told Tifa. "Okay Cloud, if that's what you want. let's go." Tifa answered me and leaped of the platform and crossed her arms in front of me. I jumped of the platform and waved bye-bye to Cid, our pilot. He groaned and mumbled something grumpily. The walking part was killing me a lot. First of all, my stomach lurched and I was starving. Secondly, I keep on thinking about Aeris and my dream. Was it all a dream? Damn it I was so close! Tifa walked hurriedly in front of me and kept on asking me if I was alright. I kept on shrugging my shoulders and nodding my head in unison, but the more that I tried to stay focused, the more my stomach heaved. Tifa and I approached the church, the one with a whole on top of it. I crashed down there a few months ago where I met Aeris, the girl who mattered to me more than anything else. Tifa opened the bulky church door and stepped in. I followed her and was greeted by musty air. The sweet scent of Aeris and her flowers also greeted me warmly. "Why are some kids here???" I asked myself and walked towards the flowerbed, imagining Aeris kneeling down and tending to my wounds when I fell. Okay, I can't hold it out anymore. The pain and hurting inside me grew worse and worse. I was so angry, sad and bewildered all at the same time. I kept on thinking about Aeris, about my dream, about Tifa and about myself. Aeris died because I failed to guard her. She was killed coldly by my enemy, Sephiroth and now she's not here anymore to smile at us and give us joy. Even when Cid's angry and frustrated Aeris can calm him down with just some gentle words. Tifa must've noticed me. She stepped up to me and tapped me softly then said something to me that I think was about Aeris. I told Tifa to find everyone even Yuffie and Vincent and to get them all waiting for me in the church's exit. She nodded obediently and ran out the church door. I looked at the two kids, a boy anf girl who were touching the flowers and smelling them. The girl asked the boy where the flowergirl was and the boy simply shrugged and continued with his routine. "Have any of you seen the flowergirl???" I asked the two trying to hide my fear and bashfulness. The boy looked at me and so did the girl. None of them answered me. I gazed away and walked out the church door. My head was down and I was actually sad. I looked one more time at the kids and the flowerbed, then as I stepped towards the door. I think I slipped and fell in a body of water... I couldn't breathe and I was restless when I woke up. I guess I must've actually fell in an ocean or a deep body of water and nearly drowned. When I opened my eyes, I saw a figure nealing in front of me. I let out a scream and sat up quickly I bonked her on the head. "Ouch! Cloud, easy. You're here in the Lifestream, you can't die." Aeris told me. ''Aeris??? Is that really you, isn't this all a dream?" I asked in confusion, excitement and fear. Aeris moves so close to me, I shivered. Then... she pinched me and it hurt a lot. "Now is that asleep?" Aeris asked me. "Um, no. I guess I'm dead like you aren't I?" I asked Aeris. "What do you mean??? Cloud, we're both alive and breathing. We're not yet dead Cloud." Aeris told me with concerned eyes. I examined her and I figured out she was dressed in her casual as usual. No wound or scar in her tummy where Sephiroth thrust the sword at her. "Cloud, I'll bring you somewhere." Aeris told me and grabbed my hand as she led me, towards the thing that I feared the most. A time viewer of Aeris and my times together. I shivered and chattered so much, Aeris had to hold me still to stop me from trembling. The time viewer started and I almost fainted when I saw the first moment...
