Title: Turks By: Chaos Chapter Four Elena Phew. What's Reno and Rude looking at? "Hey, lovers. It's Elena's turn", says Reno. Oh, yeah, that's right. Where should I start? Ah, how I got into the Turks in the first place. I originally wanted to be Scarlet's assistant. The reason being, is that I had a lot of ideas for weapons. So, I became a soldier of Shinra. They didn't care about me. I was just a number to them. That didn't matter to me. I was determined to prove myself to the Shinra executives. If I somehow showed them my genius, they would hire me right on the spot. Problem was, I had no materials or equipment to create even a prototype of my ideas. So, one day, I made my way into the president's office. No one there. Shit. No what? If I'm caught coming out, I'll get captured, and fired, and probably torn of all association with Shinra. So, I decided to write a note of apology, put it on his desk, and go out to his rooftop. But when I got there, I just realized that I was just trapped outside. "BREET!! BREET!!" The alarm sounded! "Intruder in presidential office, intruder in presidential office." My heart pounded. I knew what was coming next. They were going to release one of Hojo's experiments in here to kill me. Hojo insisted that if there is an intruder, that if they're going to release monsters, that at least they send his. So that's what I'm going to have to deal with. Dammit, dammit, dammit! Knowing Hojo, this monster's going to be strong. So, I checked my inventory. Shit. Plain and simple. One clip for my gun, a vampire fang, three potions, and a poison materia. Now what? The door behind me creaked open. Slowly looking to my back, I saw a black cloaked person with grey hair flowing out the opening with glowing eyes showing through. "What the hell?" I brought up my gun. Schwing! Before it was halfway up, the gun was cut in half. Unshot bullets rained onto the floor. Quivering, I summoned a poison spell. Successfully hitting it's target, I got a chance to run past the monster. Before I could get a step past him, though, he hit me in the midsection with the flat of a blade that I never noticed before. Somersaulting forwards over the sword, I landed on my knees, feeling a sickening crunch along with extreme pain. Before any other part of my body fell, the grey haired creature whipped around and held my head up under my chin with the flat of his sword. Without thinking, I retaliated with jabbing the vampire fang on the back of his temporarily exposed calf. Regaining some strength, and along with distracting him, I grabbed his sword, rolled forward, and stabbed the creature in the chest. Then time stopped. We just stood there, staring into each other's eyes. My legs were in agony, but the adrenaline pulsing through my veins forbade me to give up. After a while of looking into his burning eyes, his gaze shifted behind me. "Gha-ha-ha-haaaa!!!!" Careful not to lose concentration on the silver haired monstrosity, I glanced behind myself. It was a stout man, roughly five feet and a half tall, dark hair, dark, bushy beard, and a professional looking red and green suit. "My my. What have we here?", said the strange man, "Hojo, call of you're pet!" A high pitched sound was emitted. All of a sudden, the monster I have gored, jerked, then disappeared. Slowly, to my realization, the sword was gone, too. "My name is Heidegger. I am in charge of a group called the Turks. We are short on staff, and after watching your battle, I have decided that you join. No ifs, ands, or buts. By the way, what's your name? Sorry about rushing into things, but we staff immediately." "M-my name is Elena." "Congratulations, Elena." And that's how I got into the Turks. Damn, I didn't know at the time what I was getting into, but I don't regret it. After all, I got my Tseng! "Someone, please kill me." Reno, of course. *DISCLAIMER* Final Fantasy 7 and all other Final Fantasy references is Square's and only Square's. This fanfiction is mine and mine alone. Back off!!
