A Sense Of Power pt 2

All characters are fictional and made by squaresoft exept for a few of my own
creation. This is my second fanfic so dont be too hard on me and I dont care 
aboute spelling mistakes. I want to hear whats good and bad and maybe take some 
suggestions for later parts. I dont mind criticism. 
This Fanfic is copyright and not allowed for distribution or commercial 
perposes. please dont copy it or pass it off as youre own as I worked

Chapter 2
---------
One week after receiving Rasputins powers, Whilst training with Rinoa at the special
place outside of Edeas house, Squall receives a message from the prophet who contacted
him before "You have trained well with youre sorcerer powers, Now you must learn about
your prophet powers." "Who are you? How are you speaking to me?" Squall thought, 
shifting his weight to his other leg. "I am known as Biggs to those who know me.
I am speaking by thought, We prophets are all connected. Their are only ever five
prophets in existence at any one time. To find out more go to the hotel in Galbadia,
we will meet at the bar, then we shall go to a more private place." Squall looks at
Rinoa "Can my freinds come with me?" Squall thought, feeling weird talking like this.
"No youre freinds cannot come, You can only bring Rinoa as she should learn aboute us,
being the only sorceress of our time. I must go now, Come in three days at mid day."
Rinoa looks at Squall and finally voices a thought she's been having for a few
minuites
"Youve been contacted again havent you?" Squall look's at her, mildly surprised "How
did you know that? only prophets can read minds, Or I think they can when they know
how."
Rinoa laughs and Squall becomes confused and asks "Whats so funny?" which makes Rinoa
laugh even more. Whe she finally stops she tells him. "Well you dont really need to
have
special powers to read your mind, Its written all over your face. You was surpised by
the message, You then started thinking." "How do you know that?" asks Squall gettting
more amazed. Rinoa puts her hand to her face and imitates Squall when he's thinking.
Squall gets up and tackles Rinoa to the floor and cuddles her playfully before giving
her a kiss. They both get up laughing "I guess you know me too well". Rinoa brushes
of the dirt on her back and continues her explenation "After you thought aboute
something
you looked at me and was wondering if I was allowed to come with you, You looked away
and was releived slightly. I guess i'm the only one allowed to come with you due to my
powers." Squall's jaw was wide open untill he realised what he was doing and closed
it.
"Your right, we have to go to Galbadia in three days and it's just us." Rinoa gets up
and pulls Squall up roughly "Well come on lets get going ". They get into a small red
sports car parked nearby, Squall had bought it a few days ago so that he can take
Rinoa
to their special place. He starts up the engine and slams his foot onto the
acelirater.
The car speeds over the plains at one hundred and sixty mile per hour, Rinoa starts to
look a little green so she jabs Squall in the ribs with her elbow causing him to
turn and 
look at her. "Ooops sorry my little angel, Just a bit excited to be driving this
thing"
Rinoa looks at Squall and sees that he's sorry and he's slowing down "Your just as bad
as Selphie".

Back at Balamb garden a day later Squall and Rinoa join up with Selphie, Zell, Joeanne
and will in the cafetaria. Zell's busy eating hot dogs whilst selphie talks to Rinoa
and Squall aboute the message. Zell gives Joeanne an evil look as she kisses Will on
the cheek. Quistis is still teaching as she had gotten her teachers license back.
Irvine
is still in Galbadia garden, he should be transferred soon which is lucky as Selphie
is
getting restless and wants to go up and drag him out. "Cid's given us all a new
mision,
we've got to go to tears point and wipe out a big monster that's shown up. He said
it's
come from space, but it's not from the moon. He said it was from the sun. The
monster is
extremly hot, So all we have to do is cool it down and finish it off." Rinoa was
shocked
by the news of the monster. Zell jumped up and cracked his knukles then went to get
more
hot dogs. Squall just sat thinking aboute what he should do. Meet the prophet or kill
a huge fiery beast threatning his father. "Right lets go kill that thing" Squall
finaly
says. "Your going to Galbadia, Well take care of the monster." Quistis tells Squall as
she walks into the cafetaria. "Yea well take care of it, besides ive fixed the force
feild
and it works against the strongest magic you can chuck at it." Will says. "If it comes
near me ill slash it to death" Joeanne says, pointing at her arms which still had
her two
blades strapped on. "Ok I wont come, If you wanted to get rid of me you could have
just
asked" Squall put on a mock sad face which made everybody laugh including Irvine who
had
just walked through the door. "IRVY" selphie shouts as she jumps up, knocking the
table
over and grabbing his neck "Hey selph cut it out its hard to breath". Selphie let go
of
Irvines neck, Irvine grabbed Selphie and kissed her. Zell pulled selphie back
muttering
to himself "theirs a place for that and its not in the cafetaria" Selphie and Irvine
pick
up the table and sit down. Selphie notices Zells hotdogs and felt a twinge of guilt
which
soon vanished as she looked at Irvine. "Sorry Zell, I was just excited to have Irvy
back"
Zell, close to tears picked up the remains of his hot dogs and chucked them away.
Suddenly
a shout comes from the corridor "Cry baby Zell, lost his hot dogs" Zell turns around
and
runs out so fast that nobody knows what happened. "SEIFER" Zell shouts in rage as he
leaves
the cafetaria and sees Seifer running away to the right. Zell dashes after him and
catches
him by the lift "YOURE DEAD" Zell shouts as he tacles Seifer to the floor and starts
punching
him "Swatting flys am I" Zell starts kicking Seifer who has tears of pain rolling
down his
cheeks "Cry baby am I" Squall runs up and pulls Zell of Seifer "Zell get to
headmaster Cid
NOW" Squall shouts. Squall picks up seifer and carries him to the infirmary.
Afterwards
Squall goes to Cids office to hear Cid yelling at Zell. Whean Squall enters Cids
office he
sees Zell looking as calm as usuall and Cid wasent really angry, he just had to act
like it.
"Ah Squall, Rinoa has told be all aboute your message. You are ordered to go and
meet the
prophet, leave the monster to your freinds. Take your car. the others will use
Ragnarock
wich the presidant of ether kindly let up keep, thanks to you Squall." Squall turns
around and
enters the lift closely follewed by Zell "Zell I want you to take command on your
mission,
If you need any help ask Quistis". The lift stops and squall heads back to the
cafetaria to get
Rinoa. Squall and Rinoa get into Squalls car and drive along the rail track to
timber before 
heading off to Galbadia. Zell, Quistis, Selphie, Irvine, Joeanne and Will all board
the 
Ragnarock and fly to Ether.

As the Ragnarock gets closer to Ether, the temperature seems to rise slightly. Soon
they
see the monster. It looks like a T-rex but three times bigger. The skin looks like
red hot
molten lava which gives off large heat waves. The face of this monster was vaguely
human
and the eye's looked like normal human eyes but much bigger red. "Oh shit, How are we
supposed to fight that thing" Zell askes looking worried "We can use my sheild's" Will
says "they dont last very long so we have to kill it before they run out" "How long do
they last?" Quistis asks "aboute fifteen minuites". Selphie who is in the drivers
seat,
turns around "Why dont we all use Blizzard magic at the same time, maybe if we cool it
down enough it wont be able to move" Selphie turns back around and continues driving.
Laguna contacts them on the radio and tells them to see him first before fighting the
monster. Selphie lands the Ragnarock at the airport. Everybody gets out and they all
walk to lagunas mansion. At the mansion Laguna tells them what the monster is. "Thanks
for coming, wheir's Squall and Rinoa" laguna asks. "Squall and Rinoa have gone to
Galbadia,
Squalls to meet a prophet" answears Joeanne "Oh, ok I was hoping to see him. Will
Odine
wants to speak with you" Will leaves to speak with odine then comes back in "We have
sheilds for everybody, Odines just made them." Laguna walks over to his desk and sits
gently on the edge "Ok, youre probebly wondering what that thing is. two hundred years
ago Ether was experimenting with cloning techniques and combineing genetics. Monsters
weir the test subjects. Due to the dangers of this we did it in space on a space
station
before the luna lab. That monster broke out and destroyed everything before leaving
into space, heading away from our planet and into the sun. We thought that was the
last of 
it but it has grown and become more powerfull. It wants to kill all humans because of
what we did. Its only weakness is ice, It cant stand the cold." Laguna gets up and
walks
over to the window and points to the monster clearly visible "We have to kill it
before it 
kills us" Zell looks up and starts saying"Ok, you can count on us, well kill that
son of a"
Quistis buts in "ZELL, no swearing in front of the president"Leave it to us" The group
leave with Zell in front. They board the Ragnarock and take off. They fly to tears
point.
"Ok we have our plan, Get ready for a fight. Make sure you have a sheild equipped"
Quistis
orderd. "Selphie take us down". The Ragnarock flies down and lands next to tears
point,
Everybody gets out and runs towards the monster.

Meanwhile Squall and Rinoa are enjoying a gentle ride to Galbadia. They are aboute
half
an hour away. Rinoa keeps laughing as Squall turns into a different member of the
party in turn
and does an impression of each them. "And now for the ugliest member of our party"
Squall
says. Rinoa looks at him with a daring look as the only person he hasent done yet is
her.
Squall changes from being Selphie driving madly and shouting woo hoo to himself making
Rinoa laugh even more "Squall, youre not ugly. Youre the most handsome guy in garden"
Squall looks smug and straightens his jacket "You really think so, Well watch me
turn into
the most beutifull women i've ever seen" Squall then stops the car and turns into
Rinoa 
copying her every move. "Squall I told you not to turn into me" Rinoa tries to say but
burst out laughing again as Squall was mimeing along. Squall turns back to normal and
drives on, turning into lots of other people from garden and making Rinoa laugh. when
Rinoa stops laughing she looks at Squall and notices that hes thinking aboute
something.
"Whats wrong?" Rinoa asks Squall, Squall starts "Rinoa I really love love you ... "
Rinoa 
butts in "I love you too but whats wrong?" "You said their was something really
important
you had to tell me, Ive been thinking aboute it since, What if its really bad or you
dont love me, or that you have to move away". Rinoa laughs slightly, looking releived
to know whats bothering Squall. "Its nothing bad" she says "Im pregnant" Squall looks
at her feeling shocked, surprised and happy "Rinoa that great news, when we get back
well celebrate. Must remember to get some hotdogs for Zell" Squall kisses Rinoa. They
cuddle for a few hours before setting off for galbadia. The sun sets slowly as Squall
drives along. Rinoa gives Squall a kiss and they admire the sunset together.
They get to Galbadia without incident. Squall parks his car and they head towards the
hotel. As Squall and Rinoa walk along slowly, thinking aboute the baby, two gunshots
go off. Squall jumps at Rinoa and pulls her down. the bullets had just missed by
inches
"Come on, Somebodys trying to kill us" Squall shouts, Rinoa nods to show she
understands.
They both get up and run to cover around a nearby shop. Squall looks back and notices
a dark figure retreating into the shadow further up the street, "Come on we have to
go NOW"
Squall whispers as he grabs Rinoas arm. They run for the hotel and let loose a sigh
of 
releif as they enter the main door. Squall walks up to the main desk and talks to
the hotel
assistent "im Squall leonhaert, I booked a room four days ago" the assistent looks
at the
hotel bookings book "Ah yes, single room, Double bed and your meeting a group of
people
at the bar in half an hour" Squall's surprised "How did you know that?" he asks "The
people youre meeting told me to tell you. I dont know what it's aboute." Squall thanks
the assitant and pays for the room. Rinoa wanders into the bar and gets a drink.
She's half
finished when Squall comes in. Squall looks at her half finished drink with surprise,
"thirsty are you, hope thats not alcohol?" he asks Rinoa looks up having just
finished 
the rest "No its cola, You made me laugh too much so I got thirsty" They get more
drinks 
and sit down at a table. Later after two more drinks Squall notices four tall people
dressed 
in long black cloaks covering thier faces and speaking in a quite whisper talking
the the 
assistent. The assistent points to Squall and one of the cloaked figures turns
around to 
look at Squall. Squall's releived to see that this man had a pleasant smile on his
face. 
The Cloaked people walk over to Squall and Rinoa. Two of the figures pull out
needles, 
whilst the other two hold Squall and Rinoa so that they can be injected. Squall
protests 
and struggles but the needle gets put in. Squalls vision starts getting blury, Rinoa
crys 
for help and is soon silenced by the cloaked figures. Squall stops struggling and
callapses 
to a heap on the floor, everything is black.

When Zell and the others get to the the monster they are even more shocked than
before by
it's height. Zell could easily use the monsters foot as a bed, if it wasent so hot and
attached to the rest of the monster. If it wasent for the sheilds they would get
crushed in
seconds, instead it will take them fifteen minuites to get crushed. How do you
defeat such
a big thing in fifteen minuites? Zell immidiatly starts giving out orders to the
rest of the
team. "Selph you go to the right foot, use your ice magic. Quistis you take left
foot. Will
and Joeanne I want you to work together, take out its underside. Im going to take
shiva and
fly on up to the big brutes head" "How you gonna fly" asks Will "Easy I took back my 
hoverboard that got confiscated at garden. I made a few modifications and upgrades."
The party
gets into position ready to fight. The monster spots them and attempts to stamp on
them only
to have his foot stopped by the sheilds. Next it releases a huge amount of heat from
its body
then covers the party in the lava that makes up its skin. The lava cools and is
smashed.
Zell grabs his hoverboard and flys up to its head, he then summons shiva who does
her power
ice attack. The monsters head dulls a bit before regaining its previose colour. Zell
repeats
this attack a few times along with some blizzard magic. Down on the floor Selphie
isent having 
much look with the right leg which keeps trying to stomp on her. She dodges to the
left and
is knocked down by the vibrations of the foot hitting the floor, she gets up and
blast the 
sole of the foot with her blizzard magig. The foot cools and Selphy lets out a whoop
but the
foot heats up again causing selphy to look on in horror. Over at the left foot
Quistis has
managed to freeze a toe and is using her whip to try and break it off. The toe
breaks and
goes rolling away and remains innactive. Realising how to injure the evil beast
Quistis shouts
her discovery to the rest of the team. Will and Joeanne are working together
extremely well,
Will freezes the underside of the monster and Joeanne uses Will to reach to
underside which
she slashes creating large gashes wheir large chunks of magma rock fall out and roll
away.
Up near the head Zell has frozen the monsters nose and jumped onto it, looking it
straight
in the eye Zell uses blizzard on the eyes then he punches them causing the monster
to shreik
in agony. Unfornately for Zell the monster swung its head round with full force
flinging Zell 
off at full force. Zell flies quite a distance away from the battle, when he lands
on the
ground he is instantly knoked out. Selphie tries to run and help Zell but Quistis
shouts at
her to continue with the battle. Selphie turns back and continues attacking the
monsters right 
foot which had lost all it's toes and now has a large gash in the middle of the foot.
The monster now in a lot of pain collapses as its feet are getting smaller, It
starts to fall
forwards. Quistis stumbles and tries to get up, Joeanne pulls Quistis up and they
run out of
the way. Selphie continues attacking, furious that thin thing is threatning sir
Laguna.
Will picks her up and slumps her over his shoulder "Hey I wanna kill taht thing"
Selphy
shouts but sees that the monster has just fallen weir she and Quis had been standing
moments 
before "Oh, Um, Thanks I guess" Selphie says feeling a little embarrased. Will puts
Selphy down
who runs over to Zell. Irvine appears out of the Ragnarock now that he feels he can
be usefull.
Irvine walks over to the monster now lying on its stomach, sniper rifle in hand. He
stop
just in front of the monsters face, aims his gun at its face and shoots. A blue bullet
trailing a blue mist shoots out the end of the gun and hits the monster in the
forehead.
The bullet forces its way through half the body before stopping in the centre. Their
it cools
the core of the monster which slowly solidifys. When it is fully slodified Zell
walks up
slowly, supported by Selphy "Great job Irvy" Selphy says as she passes Irvine. When
Zell
reaches the monster he place three charges around the edge of it. Everybody moves
away as
the monster blows up sending up a shower of dust raining down on them. They all clap
and
cheer when the sheilds all fizz out after running out of power. "I wonder how Squall
and Rinoa
are doing?" Selphie asks, "Their fine, after all nothin could threaten those two"
Zell answears.
Irvine walks over to selphie and gives Selphie a cuddle, whilst Joeanne walks over
to Will
and kisses him. Zell and Quistis look at each other and shake hands. Afterwards
evrybody gets
back onto the Ragnarock, Which takes off hastily and starts doing loop the loops and
sharp
turns before heading off to meet Laguna to tell him what happened.

As Squall comes around he realises that hes in a dimly lit room without Rinoa. He
tries to
get up but hes been strapped down and can only move his head. "RINOA" Squall shouts
"RINOAAA"
Squall tries feircly to get up but the straps hold. Suddenly in a flash of
inspiration Squall
turns into a young boy, Himself when he was younger and wriggles free of the straps.
He then
turns back and runs to the door. The doors locked and Squall has been stripped of
all his
possetion exept clothes. Squall runs sideways into the door, which holds. Squall
runs again
and again untill hes physically exausted and he collapses on the floor. "Squall
somebody
knew of our plans, they took you before we could meet. Somebody in our group must be
a spy"
says Biggs the prophet who contacted Squall before. "We cant risk exposure, and yet
me must
get you out" Squall thought for a moment then it hit him "do you know my location?"
Squall
asks biggs. "Yes you at the abandoned research centre out at sea. It has been
renevated
A research group interested in our powers use it to conduct tests. We have contacted
the
presidant of Ether, he will tell your freinds who should rescue you. We have to go
now"
Squall gets up and starts pacing the room thinking aboute what biggs has said and
worrying
aboute Rinoa. After his sixth time around the room the door blows up and Zell walks in
grinning "Zell im so glad you found me, we have to find Rinoa I think shes in
trouble."
"No problem the rest of the gang are searching the rest of the rooms, We've met
these weird
cloaked dudes who attaked us. I think we killed most of them, are they the ones who
attacked
you?". Squall nods. Squall and Zell leave the room into a corridor of aboute twenty
door.
Squalls door was at the end. All the other doors had already been blown open. They
follow
the corridor leading to a stairway down, they encounter a few hooded figures who are
soon
killed by Zell. At the bottom of the stairway a door is clearly marked weapons. Squall
kicks the door down and looks around. Spotting his and Rinoas weapons he picks them up
and runs along the corridor. At the end of the corridor Irvine stands comforting
Selphie
who has burst into tears. As Squall turns into the room the sight shocks him. In the
small
brightly lit room their is a lot of medical equipment and weird devices. In the
centre of
the room is a operating table. Lying on the table Rinoa had been subjected to test
and had
wires all over. Shes breathing through the use of a machine and pipes come out of
her arm
taking away blood and putting it back after it has been analized. Her stomach had
been cut
open and crudely stiched back together. Her baby is gone lying dead in a large glass
tube
in a corner of the room. Squall collapsed and broke down crying, hes lost his baby
and they
have done awfull things to Rinoa. The machines keeping Rinoa shut down by remote,
Killing her.
Squall shudders with greif as he grabs Rinoas head and tries to get her back but
theirs nothing
he can do. Squall picks up his sword that hed dropped at the door and lifts it up, he
turns it around and jams it into his own heart. But before it reaches his heart the
room 
starts spinning and dissolves into blackness.

Blackness surrounds Squall as he gets up. Squall looks around and sees nothing.
"RINOA"
Squall shouts. Three prophets appear in the blackness. "Squall we have brought you
to the
Void. This is the place we draw our power from. We have found the traighter and he has
been killed. We have a replacement but he needs to be trained as a prophet like you."
Squall turns angrily to the prophet who was speaking "You must be Biggs, I dont care
about prophets, I dont care aboute power All I want is Rinoa back" Biggs shakes his
head
"You can get Rinoa back but a prophet has to lose his powers in order to heal her and
return her spirit to her body" Squall looks up at this news "I'll do it, I dont want
to
have any powers. All I want is Rinoa" Biggs chuckles and points to his right. Rinoa
appears and looks at Squall "Squall, how did I get hear?" Squall looking overjoyed
runs
towards Rinoa and hugs her tightly "I'll tell you later, im just glad your allright."
Squall tells her. "So i've lost my powers now then, Right?" Squall asks. Biggs turns
to Squall "No we have used the powers of the traiter to rectify the damage he has
done.
Rinoa still has her baby and when you return she or your freinds wont remember any of 
this. We will teach you about your powers later after we have found a secure location
to meet, You see you cant learn in the Void as its too powerfull. Well goodbye untill
next time" Biggs claps his hands and the black void gets replaced by Garden. Ragnarock
has been moved to the Garden hanger. Later in the day, in the cafetaria a Squall and
the rest of the party are celebrating the news of the baby. Squall kept Rinoas death
to himself. Rinoas a bit suspects something as Squall has been showing her how much
he loves her more than usual. "It's the baby" Squall assured her. Zell happily stuffs
his face with the best hotdogs in the world provide by Squall. Selphy and Irvine argue
with each other. Selphy thinks its great for Rinoa to have a baby but she wants one
as well, whilst Irvine not to sure aboute having a baby "Come on selph we have the
rest
of our lives to have a baby, Besides it wont be very good for our careers" Selphy
playfully
hits Irvine and they kiss. Joeanne and Will seem to argue a lot at the moment. Will's
thinking aboute quitting Garden and developing better sheids for seed's whilst Joeanne
is attracted to Zell. She tells him she wants to go on a date, Zell chokes on his
hotdog
"Really, you mean it? sure". Quistis goes back to her teaching job, feeling slightly
l onely. Finally Seifer has stopped calling Zell a chicken wuss, but now he has
started
calling him Berserker. Squall takes Rinoa to the special place in Edeas garden and
they
talk aboute the baby. When the baby is born Squall wants to Quit seed and devote
himself
fully to Rinoa and the baby. They also discuss baby names and they go through a whole
list of names. To show Rinoa how much he loves her Squall give her his Greiver ring.
"Rinoa, Would you marry me" Squall asks and turns bright red. Rinoa looks surpised,
"Squall I dont know what to say, Of coarse ill marry you" They kiss and cuddle for
a long time watching the stars come out.

End of part 2

Well thats another part done. I think ive improved a bit since part 1. This is my
second
fanfic, part 1 being my first. I hope you enjoy it. I meant to flesh out the new
characters
a bit more but I kind of forgot and I dont want to change it too much. Maybe ill do
them
in the next part. Well what did you think? was it good, Crap, Ok. I know thier are
spelling 
mistakes and stuff so no e-mails aboute that please. So what did you think was good
and
bad. I want criticism (not spelling mistakes) aboute the story so I can improve it. If
you have read this please e-mail me as it could motivate me to write the next part.
