This is my first fan fiction, so please give me some credit. The ideas 
in this are based upon thoughts is my head. All characters are copyright 
of Squaresoft and any additional characters that are not seen in Final

CHAPTER ONE: A New Member

The day was just as ordinary as any other day in Balamb Garden. 
Everyone was doing their own thing. Squall was training with Seifer and 
Zell who was getting hungry for hotdogs. Selphie was preparing their 
annual garden festival with Irvine always there for the thrill of things 
and for the girls. Rinoa was in the library reading and trying to learn 
more from Edea, and Quistis was training the future SeeDs of Balamb 
Garden.
“Squall, Headmaster Cid would like to see you in his office and could 
you please bring your party and both sorceresses.”
Within minutes everyone was assembled in the elevator going up to Cid’s 
office. “This is kinda squishy I reckon. And as a SeeD I am going to 
complain to my leader. Squall we need more elevators or a bigger one.” 
Selphie being the shortest made a good point being trapped between Zell 
and Irvine with Seifer in front of her. “Hey I’m not complaining, this 
feels ok to me.” Exclaimed Irvine with joy. “Hmph you would,” Quistis 
retaliated.
“Ok thanks for that Selphie but I really think you should talk to Cid 
what am I supposed to do about it?” Squall really wasn’t that helpful to 
Selphie’s situation.
“Bppp some leader Squall!” Seifer still kept some of his 
characteristics. The worst of it was that the elevator ride seemed to go 
on forever.
Finally the elevator stopped with everyone bolting out of it and falling 
on top of one another. Edea and Squall and Seifer were the only ones 
left standing in the elevator. “Typical,” they said synchronized. They 
entered Cid’s office, and he wasn’t alone. There was a guy there with 
him about 19 or 20. He was easy on the eyes, tall and slender like 
Seifer, Squall and Irvine, with spiked black hair and piercing blue 
eyes.
“Ah good I see you all made it in time for me to tell you something 
important.” Cid said with the usual calming smile on his face. Edea went 
to join her husband by his side.
“…Just…” Selphie huffed still breathless from her little scenario 
earlier on.
“Well if you have any problems then consult me later ok, this is 
important.”
“Just you wait I will for the benefit of me and every other SeeD.”
“Ok then. Now I would like to introduce you all to a SeeD from the 
restored Galbadia garden. I know that Irvine won’t know him because it 
only took him 3 months to graduate as a seed after the restoration. His 
name is Zein Herosson. He was sent by order of me here and he is going 
to be in your party from now on.” The entire party had nothing to say 
for a while. Finally Selphie and Rinoa being who they were went up to 
Zein and introduced themselves and introduced the others while they were 
at it.
“Hi I’m Selphie Tilmitt”
“And I’m Rinoa Heartilly.”
“Rinoa is the sorceress of this time, she is still learning. The person 
next to our headmaster is Edea, she was the sorceress before Rinoa took 
over, she is teaching her a lot of stuff.” Selphie and Rinoa then 
grabbed his hands and dragged him around the room from person to person. 
“This is Squall Leonhart, our leader you’ll get used to him trying to be 
cold, but he’s not really. He’s the strongest fighter and by far the 
best. Next up is Seifer Almasy. He has a long story behind him, so we’ll 
just say that he was a bit of a bad boy, but he is a good fighter. This 
is Irvine Kinneas, he’s from Galbadia like you and an excellent sniper, 
except when under extreme pressure.” Selphie giggled at Irvine and he 
poked his tongue out at her in a playful way.
“This is instructor Quistis Trepe the serious and clear thinker of our 
group. And last but certainly not least is our hotdog loving, fist 
fighter Zell Dincht.” Zein looked at them all still baffled by the speed 
Selphie was introducing them and Rinoa going round showing them, but he 
got round to understanding it and replied to them all. “Hey I’m Zein as 
you all might now know. I’ve heard a lot about all of you, and I mean 
all of you. I use a gunblade, but nothing like the one that Squall has, 
or the one Seifer has. It’s a new type of gunblade designed in Galbadia. 
Personality wise I’m easy going, I have a sense of humor and a serious 
side too. I have no idea why me of all the SeeDs in Galbadia were sent 
here. But yeah I’m here to help and stuff, so yeah.” He seemed ok 
thought Squall; let’s test out his skills on our new training mission.

CHAPTER TWO: The training session

	Out in the Ragnarok the party was scanning over the Island Closest 
to Heaven. At the landing, a ruby dragon charged directly towards them. 
Selphie was the only one actually off the Ragnarok, and when the roar of 
the dragon came the others were too far to help her out. She knew she 
would at least need someone else to help her defeat the dragon. Suddenly 
as if from nowhere it was like a similar person to Odin had appeared. 
With a slash from the fluro blue sword Zein came running out armed. “Oh, 
thank god you’re here I thought that I was a goner.” Zein said nothing 
and advanced on the monster. 
“You can leave if you want to it’s ok I’ve got this son of a…” and 
before he could finish his sentence he landed a finishing blow on the 
dragon. Amazing Selphie thought, he has the strength of Squall and 
Seifer, no wonder he graduated so early, his technique is flawless. As 
everyone came running out they all saw Selphie kneeling down with relief 
and Zein put his sword back. “Is everything ok here?” Squall asked, 
mainly at Selphie. 
“Yep it’s fine, thanks to our new companion here, he saved my ass.” They 
all looked at Zein with wonderment. “Well as long as my Sefie’s ok then 
nothing’s the matter,” Irvine was always trying to keep things cool with 
his remarks. “Ok let’s move out with caution junction your GFs and keep 
an eye on all directions. We’ll divide into two parties, Quistis, Zell 
and Rinoa you’re coming with me, Seifer, Selphie, Irvine go with Zein. 
Remember the aim of this is to level ourselves up and to draw as much 
magic as we can. We have 3 hours.” They all left with their group. This 
is going to be easy thought Selphie, with the power Zein has we’ll 
finish it in a much shorter time than that.
	Three hours were up. Zein and his team had finished covering their 
section an hour ago. Squall was walking back with Zell, Quistis and 
Rinoa, surprised to see that they had finished second. “Well you took 
your sweet time doing that didn’t you?” Irvine said rhetorically. “We 
finished about an hour ago with thanks to Zein. I tell you Galbadian’s 
are supreme fighters.” They all looked at Zein again. They seemed to be 
doing that a lot since he came. “Uh it wasn’t me it was the gunblade 
really.” He wasn’t trying to be modest; he knew that he wasn’t half the 
fighter without the sword. “Ah there’s no room for modesty here y’know.” 
Zell said.
“Hahaha, and you would know the most about that wouldn’t you Zelly?” 
said Rinoa. They all just sat in the conference area and laughed.

CHAPTER THREE: Another un-expected visitor.

“Squall, come quick… There’s a… strange girl wandering around… in the 
quad… I’ve never seen her before... but she looks hurt.”  The run from 
the quad to the library took a lot out of Rinoa, although a sorceress, 
she was still just as human as anyone. “Alright I’ll go a head you go 
get the others ok.” Squall ran out the library and left Rinoa behind 
still tired from her last run. She ran after Squall, making her 
connections with the others through the mind. That way it won’t take 
that much out of me she thought.
	Months had past since they last got a visitor. The last visitor 
was Zein and he became quite settled since his arrival. He fitted right 
in and it was as though he had been with them since the beginning. So 
everyone was closely following Squall and they reached the quad where 
they saw a girl there holding her side in pain. She looked up, her brown 
eyes looking innocently at them all. “Is this Balamb Garden?” She 
struggled to ask. “Yes it is. What is it that you want? Why are you 
here?” said Squall.
“Oh thank god I’ve made it here.” Those were her last words before she 
collapsed on the floor. Rinoa was sent forth to heal the visitor, rather 
than them moving her to the infirmary. She stepped back from the body 
and ran to Squall hugging him. “What’s up Rinoa?”
“This girl, she is a sorceress from the future, but her body and life 
has been altered with. She is the only sorceress I know that can be 
killed…and she may already be dead.” He held her and looked down at the 
girl.
“Man, why is it that the only good looking visitors we get are 
sorceresses. I mean come on give us a little luck. Plus they are usually 
evil, dying or taken” Irvine sounded disappointed, but was soon shut up 
by Selphie who gave him a kick in the shins.
“Hey Sefie, you know I was only joking.” She gave him a funny look and 
was about to comment when Zein went to the girl and picked her up.
“We can’t give up on her yet, there may still be hope for her. I’m 
taking her to the infirmary.” And he walked off. As he walked out of the 
quad the others were left standing there thinking. “Wow, I’ve never seen 
Zein act like that before. Wonder what’s up with him?” Zell was not the 
only one shocked, however he was the only one who said anything. “What’s 
the matter Zell, can’t Zein have some fun round here or are you jealous. 
Hehehe.” Seifer was being like he usually was… Provocative. 
“Well I mean we aren’t exactly going to find out things if we just stand 
around here with our jaws dropped are we? I’m going to the infirmary. 
Maybe Zein is right, and maybe she is here for a purpose that we can 
help. And Seifer be nice…” After her speech Quistis ran off with 
everyone else soon following her.
	Dr Kadowaki was pacing herself up and down the room with Zein 
watching carefully the breathing motions of the stranger. He didn’t know 
what he was feeling, but there was something about this girl that just 
allured him… The thing is he didn’t know what. Squall and the others 
entered the infirmary, which now seemed quite small with the amount of 
people. “Hey are you ok Zein?” Selphie taking charge of the cramped 
moment and trying to make it all worthwhile. “Hmmm… Oh yeah I’m ok I was 
just trying to help her out whoever she was.”
“Well dying or not she is a sorceress and we have to be on our guard 
just in case something goes wrong.” Squall and the others were very 
shocked by the words that came from Cid. “She is obviously a sorceress 
from the future because she knew about Balamb garden. I want you all to 
keep your guard up and to report to me what you find when she wakes up. 
I will be in Esthar with Edea on some business, but never the less I 
want you to report to me. Is that understood?” They all looked towards 
Seifer, Zein or Squall for one of them to answer. “Yes sir we 
understand.” Squall said pushing the words out of him. Cid gave a nod 
and wandered out. “Well I guess we all just wait here right?” Quistis 
was not sure if she had said the right thing or not. “Well I mean we all 
can’t stay here and wait till she wakes up. I say we take shifts 
waiting. I mean we all have stuff to do still.” Rinoa did have a point. 
So they divided the times up between themselves. Zein would be the first 
to do the shift, as he volunteered and probably would have had it no 
other way. “Do I sense a crush on someone?” Irvine said teasingly to 
Zein with Seifer giving a laugh. 
“Honestly I don’t know what’s happening, but something is telling me 
that this girl is important and I have to know why I feel like this.”
“Well ok buddy, we’ll let you do what you have to. And remember if you 
have any questions about girls you know where to come.”
“IRVINE!!!” Selphie, Rinoa and Quistis were all shocked by what he said. 
He just shrugged and looked at Seifer, Zell and Squall who were giving 
him strange looks.

CHAPTER 4: The awakening.

After about three nights of watch, late during Zein’s night shift, the 
girl finally awoke and looked over to see Zein asleep on the chair at 
the end of the bed. What was he doing here she thought and why. She 
looked at him with appreciative eyes. He looked up and saw her smiling 
at him. “Oh, you’re awake. Are you feeling better, is everything ok? Can 
I get you anything?” Zein straightened himself up and stared at the 
girl. She truly was a beautiful girl he thought. “I’m fine thank you. 
But may I ask you a question? Where am I? I know that I am in Balamb 
garden, but I am uncertain as to where.” She looked around a little 
lost. “Right, sorry I should have said something. You’re in the 
infirmary. When we found you, you looked very hurt and you were sleeping 
for a few days. I bought you here to see if it would all be ok.”
“Thank you so much for your kindness. I suppose that I better explain 
myself to you then.” She looked down at her hands and seemed upset a 
little.
“Why don’t you wait till the morning, when you can meet the others and 
tell them too?”
“The others?”
“Yes my party and my friends in this garden. They were there when you 
were found too and they have been watching you too. So yeah I think it 
would be only fair that they heard your story too, and I think that you 
need to rest.”
“Umm can I ask you a question…well actually it’s more of a favor. Where 
would I me able to get some new clothes. The ones I had were a little 
awkward to wear.” She pointed to a long skirt that seemed to wrap around 
her figure and a very short top, both covered in blood. “Oh sure, I’ll 
get Selphie and Rinoa to take you into town later. Goodnight” He smiled 
and turned to leave.
“Goodnight… but one more thing.” He stopped momentarily and turned. “Uhh 
what is you name may I ask?” He looked embarrassed.
“Sorry I should have told you earlier. My name is Zein Herosson.” He 
gave her another smile and walked off.

That morning messages were pinned to the doors of Rinoa, Squall, Seifer, 
Quistis, Irvine, Zell and Selphie. “THE GIRL’S AWAKE. MEET AT THE 
INFIRMARY ENTRANCE. ASAP.” Zein walked out of the dorm to the infirmary 
“Zeeeiiiinnnn!!! Wait up. I’m coming!” Selphie was yelling from the 
other end of the dorm area. 
“Selphie you wanna keep it down, I mean people could still be asleep 
around here.”
“Ooops…sorry, but I didn’t wanna look like a loner wandering the halls 
of Balamb early in the morning by myself.”
“Well I mean the only people who would see you would be the others and 
I’m sure they wouldn’t mind.”
“Damn straight we wouldn’t.” Zell and Irvine walked casually up to them. 
Rinoa followed slowly behind rubbing her eyes still. Seifer eventually 
followed with a look of aggravation from being woken up so early. 
“God… I wasn’t expecting a wake up call from you Sef.” Seifer said 
sounding tired.
“Oops sorry.” They all walked together along the floor of the garden. 
They were even more surprised to see Squall and Quistis sitting on the 
bench waiting for them.
“Well we’ve been here for a while,” Squall said.
“Sorry about that. We would have been here sooner but it ended up 
turning into a communal occasion y’know. Well let’s go.” Zein led the 
way with Squall following behind him and Rinoa holding his hand, as well 
as the others.

CHAPTER 5: The girl’s secrets.

They entered the room to find the girl sitting up in her bed, with her 
clothes that she had on cleaned. “Ah you’re awake. Are you ok?”
“Whoa talk about a gentleman. Zell, Seifer and Irvine I think you could 
take some lessons off of Zein on how to behave with women.” Selphie gave 
Zein an impressive look.
“Just what do you mean by that?” Zell was getting revved up, Seifer 
looked at her as though he didn’t care and Irvine just stood there 
looking clueless. “Oh never mind…”
“Ahem…Can we please get on with this when you’re ready?” Zein butted in 
before it got to the extreme of things.
“Sorry ‘bout that Zein.”
“Ok I’m sorry I don’t know what your name is but let’s get straight to 
it.” The others got themselves comfortable ready for the story that was 
about to be told by the girl.
“Ok…where do I start? My name is Amina. I am a sorceress from the future 
as you may or may not know. I was in a terrible time era. The period 
that I was in, held a horrible fate for me. So my mother Malikah sent me 
to this time period where I would live my life until my debt was to be 
paid, then I would return to the life that I had. So my mother chose 
this time for me. She said that I would much like it here and I have a 
letter for the sorceress of this time, so who am I to give this to?” 
There was going to be a short interval, Zein could feel it.
“Ah now it’s my turn.” Here we go, Zein thought, this girl is going to 
be just as confused as I was when I was introduced to them all. “So 
first of all I’m Selphie Tilmitt. The couple over there is Squall 
Leonhart and Rinoa Heartilly. Rinoa is the sorceress of our time and 
Squall it the leader of our group. That’s Zell Dincht, our hand-to-hand 
expert. The guy next to you is Irvine Kinneas and excellent shooter, and 
the girl next to him is Quistis. Behind her is Seifer Almasy a rebel 
member but a member and a friend non-the less. And the other…” But 
before Selphie could finish her introductions, the sorceress stood up. 
“Thank you very much for that. I know the name of this person.” She 
wandered slowly over to Rinoa. “This letter is for you from my mother. 
Please read this.” Rinoa took it and read it with everyone gathering 
around her to see what the new girl was about. Rinoa being the only one 
to read what was written was appalled by what was said. “Rinoa, what up? 
It looks like you’ve just seen a ghost.”  Seifer said always being on 
the ball. Rinoa looked up with one hand over her mouth still. “This girl 
went through extreme torture in her time. The things described are 
unexplainable.” Seifer glanced toward the girl and she was staring back 
at him.
“Will you please accept my presence in this time” They all looked at 
her, and then Rinoa went forward this time. “Of course we will. Stay as 
long as you want.” Amina looked at them and smiled. “Yeah, and who knows 
you might be able to help us out with a couple of things.” Irvine looked 
and winked at them, Quistis went up to him and gave him a kick, and it 
was starting to turn into a Fujin and Raijin relationship. Amina smiled 
and laughed softly at them. “Oh by the way Rinoa and Sefie, can you take 
Amina into the city. She wants to buy some new clothes.”
“Sure!!! Shopping spree, this is going to be fun.” Selphie turned to 
Rinoa and they both nodded with joy. “Well it’s getting late, so you 
better get going if you want to come back for lunch.” Zein couldn’t stop 
looking at her, but her eyes were elsewhere. What was it that made her 
so enchanting? The three of them ran off, chatting away like 
schoolgirls.

CHAPTER 6: Amina has style…

Wandering through Balamb city Rinoa and Selphie were dragging Amina 
around everywhere. Amina didn’t have any objections. In fact she was 
enjoying it greatly. “Man the shops here are dull as. Hey Rinoa, you 
reckon we could make it to Deling and back before lunch? They have the 
best shopping square.”
“Well I mean we could go there and just say that we had lunch there 
too.”
“Hmmm…Amina what do you want to do? I mean it’s up to you.”
“I would like to see this place that you say has good shopping. I want 
something different to wear.” Amina said looking at them with happiness.
“Well why don’t you keep what you got then, you look great.” Selphie and 
Rinoa always had an excellent sense in fashion. “I really prefer not to 
if that’s ok.”
“Sure, let’s go to Deling City then.”
After reaching Deling City, by train they had their lunch and 
rest, ready for shopping time. After a few hours of running around 
different shops Amina came out with a totally new outfit picked by Rinoa 
and Selphie. She had a three quarter length dress with splits on the 
sides, no sleeves and a long sleeveless jacket. She had ankle high boots 
and the two fashion experts even accessorized for her too. She had a 
string belt sliding on her waist, and her long brown hair was pulled 
back with a silver clip with pieces of hair hanging down her face. 
“Perfect,” Rinoa and Selphie sighed looking at their choice. Amina 
looked at herself in the mirror and was proud of what she looked like. 
“I like it a lot. Thank you for helping me.” She smiled.
When they returned to the garden, the entire party was waiting for 
them at the entrance. “Well it’s about time.” Squall and the others 
didn’t look too happy at first, but when they saw Amina they lightened 
up. She was beautiful. Seifer, Irvine, Zell and Zein stood there dumb 
founded. Squall still maintained his position and continued but 
lightened up too when he saw Rinoa. “We were scared that something 
terrible happened to you all and we were about to go out and look for 
you.”
“Squall there was two sorceresses and a nunchaku expert. We were quite 
capable of handling things by ourselves you know.” Rinoa looked at his 
trying to calm him down.
“Anyway.” Quistis said butting in, “Where did you get these clothes for 
Amina, there are no shops in Balamb that sell stuff like this.”
“Ahh…Actually me and Rinoa decided that Balamb had some pretty ugly 
stuff so we took her to Deling city cause she wanted something 
different.”
“Well I have to say that she has good taste and style.” The guys looked 
at each other and nodded without being noticed by the girls.

CHAPTER 7: Fitting in…

While the group was in the dorms having parties, Zein went looking for 
Amina who somehow managed to escape the blabbering of Zell and Selphie. 
He started at the library and worked his way around. He went to the 
quad; his second last stop for the night. He walked in to see her 
sitting by the fountain with a bag of things. “Hey are you ok there 
Amina, you left and I couldn’t find you.”
“Oh yes I am well I had to find my belongings that I bought with me.” 
She stood up and Zein noticed a kitana sword tied to her belt and some 
magic as well. Zein looked at her again and stared into her eyes until 
finally the gaze was broken when she asked him, “Is everything ok?”
“Oh yeah of course. So you were trained to fight like us SeeDs?”
“Yes my mother was a great teacher and I learnt a lot about fighting 
without magic.”
“Do you want to go and test out your skills then in the training center? 
I will come with you.”
“Ok I will try it.”
“Cool, let’s rock then.” She grabbed her bag and followed Zein out into 
the training center. As they headed to the training center, the rest of 
the gang decided to wander into the training center for no particular 
reason, when they bumped into Zein and Amina.
“Hey there guys what are you doing here?” Zell took a step back shocked 
to see Amina armed.
“Yeah ummm Amina told me she was trained to fight without her powers so 
I thought we’d take her to test them out.”
Quistis stepped forward with a concerned look, “You do realize it could 
be dangerous for her.”
“Oh lighten up Quistis, I mean she’s got Zein with her what more does 
she need?” Selphie did have a point.
“Hey if we’re going to do this then let’s do it already.” Irvine walked 
forward into the training center with the others following behind. 
“Oh yeah sure go show off. I’d like to see Zell chicken out of a battle 
too. Hahaha.” Zell gave Seifer an angry look. For once in a long time 
Squall had nothing to say in the matter.
Amina went ahead of Irvine. She was excited and thrilled to be able to 
fight with her skills. The first three to make it to the T-rexaur was 
Seifer, Irvine and Amina. They ran forward and stood their ground. “Haha 
this will be easy right Irvine?” Seifer stood positioned and moved to 
attack. But before he could move Amina stepped forward.
“If it’s ok with you Seifer I would like to attack first.” She looked 
back at Seifer and grinned.

“Uhh sure go for it if you want…” He was speechless. She nodded at him, 
closed her eyes and stood with her arms crossed and her palms facing 
outwards. “Supreme ending!”  She stood gathering energy then pulled her 
kitana sword out and a bladed fan and attacked the monster till it fell 
to its death. They all looked at her with just as much shock as when 
they found out how Zein fought.
“Well at least she’s goin to fit in…” Was all that Selphie could say.

CHAPTER 8: Finding a knight for a night

A few weeks had past and Amina was settled in quite well. She was still 
a little shy around the gang, but Selphie and Rinoa were always there 
for her. The three of them were in the quad preparing for the Garden 
Festival.
“So Ami, who is going to be your knight in shinning amour?” Selphie 
looked up with a big grin. The theme for the festival this year was 
Sorceresses and their knights, which by Selphie’s terms meant that it 
was a couple thing. Rinoa looked up anticipating for an answer.
“Ummm… No actually I haven’t thought of it.” Amina looked and then 
continued with her jobs.
“Oh come on you are an actual sorceress, you could at least have a 
temporary knight till you find one permanently.”
“Is it really that necessary, I mean I would be fine on my own, honest.” 
And she sounded it. It was Rinoa’s turn to have a say now.
“Amina I think that it would be awesome if you took a date I mean you 
are a real sorceress and most of the group is paired. I mean me and 
Squall, Sefie and Irvine, Zell has the librarian girl, so all that’s 
left is you, Seifer and Zein. Quistis doesn’t really go with partners, 
so she is no competition hehe.”
“Oooo tough choice on one hand we got Zein and on the other we have 
Seifer… Personally I’d go for Zein, but I don’t know Seifer has got some 
good stuff. Tee-hee.”
Ami started to blush. “Well actually Zein has been dropping hints and 
stuff.” Selphie and Rinoa couldn’t believe what they heard. “Well I mean 
why don’t you go for him, he is nice and interested.”
“I would but…” Selphie stopped her and placed her hand in front of her.
“Ah, no buts ok. Just go along with it trust me it’s for the good of 
everyone.”
‘Yeah…everyone except Seifer…’ She thought. “I guess I can just for a 
while.” Selphie looked up with a grin and Rinoa gave Amina a warm smile.

Later that day…
“Zeeeiiiinnnn!!! Wait up for me Please!” Selphie was screaming across 
the other side of the hallways. “What’s wrong Sefie, what couldn’t wait 
till we got to the cafeteria?” Zein looked at her sarcastically and was 
expecting a kick in the shins but she didn’t. “Well Mr. big shot, it 
seems that you have been using your charm on miss sorceress Amina 
haven’t ya?”
“If that’s what you want to call it yeah a little why?”
“Well I heard u asked to be her knight for the festival am I right?”
“Who told you?!” He said looking confused and angry.
“Calm down, she told us ok and she has accepted your offer. So lighten 
up geez.”
“Are you serious?”
“Yes I don’t lie about these things. All I have to say is right on 
Zein!”
“Thanks…I think. Anyway I’m hungry and I am determined to get to the hot 
dogs before Zell eats them all along with Seifer and co.”
“Ok let’s go!” And they both ran off.

CHAPTER 9: The night of the festival.

Zein stood outside of Amina’s dorm and waited in his SeeD uniform. They 
guys had to wear it, and it was the girls’ time to show their stuff. He 
had a rose in his hand for her and was about to knock on the door when 
Amina came out looking beautiful. She has a tight body fitting skirt on 
that flared at the bottom and a corset top that was low cut. Her hair 
was up in a French roll and she had sliver glistening through it. Zein 
was shocked.
“Wow, you look great really.” That’s all that he could think of to say. 
She smiled and stepped forward. He handed her the rose and she placed it 
under her nose to smell it. “Thank you, you look very handsome too… So 
shall we my sir knight Zein?”
“Of course my lady.” When they entered they went to be seated with the 
rest of the group. Rinoa was in her formal dress, the same one she first 
met Squall in. Selphie was wearing a knee length skirt with a glittered 
halter neck top. Quistis couldn’t be bothered to dress up so she was 
wearing what she always wore. They all stopped to look when they saw 
Amina with Zein. Squall only had eyes for Rinoa as did Irvine for 
Selphie at the moment, but Zell and Seifer sat there looking at the 
beauty of the girl. She was like a dream.
“Go Ami, nice style, I mean I knew you had already but this makes it 
all. It looks great on you and your date makes it all good too. Hahaha.” 
Selphie made Amina a bit embarrassed and Rinoa saw it so she decided to 
get her out of an uncomfortable situation. “Hey Ami can you come and get 
some drinks with me?”
“Sure.” They ran off to the bar with people whispering as they walked 
past.
“I feel so out of place Rin, I should have wore something else.”
“Oh don’t be silly you look great. How’d you get your hair like that? It 
looks great.”
“It’s all part of sorceress powers. I’ll teach you one day if you like.”
“Yes please I’d like that.” They returned to the table and not long 
after it was time to dance. They all paired off but Seifer was left 
without a partner cause Quistis went patrolling the garden. After the 
first dance Amina looked over to see Seifer looking bored and staring 
out at nothing. She felt sorry for him. She whispered something to Zein 
and he went over to the bar. Seifer looked up to see Amina coming 
towards him.
“Sir Seifer, it would be an honor if you accepted a dance with me. I 
have to see you dance. Are you as good as Squall is with Rinoa?” She 
said giggling.
Seifer couldn’t stop staring at her; she was an angel to him. Her 
grabbed her hand and escorted her to the dance floor. Selphie looked up 
to see the two of them together.
“Rinoa, will you take a look at that. Seifer has a soft spot for her. 
Wow Seifer of all people.” While Rinoa was holding onto Squall she 
remembered the time Seifer and her were together. It was a good time, so 
much happiness and love. Her memories came to a halt when Selphie 
started again. “Rinoa what do you thinks going on with them two?” Squall 
overheard what she was saying. He looked over at Seifer and Amina 
dancing the waltz to the moon and then he turned to Selphie and Rinoa. 
“I honestly wouldn’t jump to any conclusions about those two really. I 
mean Seifer is Seifer he can change from time to time right? I mean we 
had to fight him during the battle of Ultimecia and her chaos…”
“But Squall you must remember that Seifer was manipulated and you and 
him are getting along well. In fact he is getting on well with everyone, 
cept for maybe Zell but that’s nothing wrong.”
“Selphie all I’m saying is I wouldn’t go planning any weddings or 
anything… right Rin?” Rinoa was lost in her memories, and then she 
turned to Seifer and Amina and looked back at Squall. “Squall has a 
point that Seifer can be unpredictable, but he is human like us and 
feels what we feel, so… let him be.” 

CHAPTER 10: Cafeteria chaos

After a few weeks Zein and Amina were a couple and they really were in 
love. Seifer was still single and Zell had broken up with the pigtail 
girl from the library. “Zell I think we have to set you up with 
someone.” The whole gang was sitting around in the cafeteria. “What? 
Sefie I appreciate your help and all, but I can get my own girl if I 
want one.” He sat up with his head held high. Seifer looked at Zell and 
started laughing like crazy.
“What are you laughing at? C’mon Seifer tell me other wise I’ll stick 
these here gloves in your mouth.” Zell got up out of his chair and 
started getting ready for a fight.
“Oh stop swatting flies! Like you could get a girl you chicken wuss, I 
mean look at you…”
“I wouldn’t say much Seifer I mean you’re single too aren’t you? So what 
are you gonna do?” Irvine cut in trying to come to a close.
“Hey yeah Seifer you never did tell me about your romantic dream…” 
Squall sat up grinning at a pissed off Seifer.
“Well…that’s cause I don’t need anyone and if I did I am not goin to go 
turn into a woman’s man like you.” Zell started laughing this time and 
it was about to turn into a three-way fight. Then Zein jumped in. “Hey 
chill all of ya. Ok we get your point really and…” Before he could 
finish they got him into the argument. “Well you don’t have to worry 
you’ve got Ami there so what are you going on about?” And that’s what 
started the argument again. Rinoa looked at Amina and they both nodded. 
They stood up and glared at the five guys. The screaming and swearing 
had come to a stop. Their mouths were still moving, but nothing was 
coming out. Rinoa stood up and walked towards them with Amina sitting 
back looking at them all and giggling.
“So this is what had to be done to get the five of you to keep quiet? 
Well I mean this is ridiculous, but I guess that it’s the only way. So 
Amina and I are going to keep you like this until you stop acting like a 
bunch of kids.” Selphie tugged on Rinoa’s clothes and whispered to 
Rinoa, “The funny thing is they have been acting like this since they 
were kids, so I doubt they will change for you.” At that moment Zell 
pegged a hot dog bun at Selphie and started a mute laughter among the 
guys. Selphie retaliated by throwing it back missing Zell and hitting 
Seifer. He picked up the sauce bottle and squirted it at Selphie, 
hitting Amina and Rinoa at the same time. It was a food fight in the 
cafeteria and the disciplinary committee was not around cause their 
leader was in the fight.

CHAPTER 11: Destiny or Love?

During the evening Amina was sitting in the quad alone. “Hey Ami there 
you are I have been trying to find someone around here to hang with.” 
Rinoa and Amina were the only ones of the group not in the training 
centre. “Oh hey Rin what are you up to?”
“Umm not much…Hey are you ok you seem pretty distant today, and you have 
been for a while. What’s wrong?” Amina looked up at the sky.
“Rinoa, do you believe you and Squall were destined to be together?” 
Rinoa was surprised by the question but answered it.
“Well…Squall believes it was and so do I. I would have it no other way. 
Why do you ask?”
“There is something that I should have told you but I couldn’t and now 
I’m scared that it might be too late.” Rinoa looked worried about what 
Amina was starting to say.
“You see in the future my mother foretold what would happen in this life 
time to me. In my destiny I am to fall in love with…”
“Zein? Is it him or is it Seifer?” Amina looked up shocked.
“It’s Seifer but how did you…”
“A sorceress can tell, especially one given the gift to see the future. 
I saw it a long time ago after the garden festival and you were dancing 
with Seifer.”
“Yes but I still love Zein too. I care greatly for them both, but I must 
tell Seifer otherwise my destiny will come to a halt and I will cease to 
exist.” Amina was almost in tears.
“Oh Ami don’t worry we will sought it out I’m sure Zein will understand 
if you tell him and Seifer, well I know he would be very happy.”
“How do you know that?”
“Well Seifer has taken a liking to you a bit too I can tell I saw it 
when we were dating and I can see it again.”
“Well you foresee a lot, but there is just one more thing that will 
happen to me in the future and I’m sure you have not seen is cause it is 
unexpected.”
“What is it?”
“In a year or two a sorceress from my time will come to destroy all 
sorceresses here and everyone else associated with the sorceress. The 
only sorceress who can stop her is I. Although you are the sorceress of 
this time, as payment I must sacrifice my life here and in the future 
for the lives of my friends.” She looked sad but at the same time gave a 
small smile. Rinoa had her hand over her mouth in shock.
“Rinoa in a year I must leave taking the other sorceress with me. There 
is no other way so I must end this with Zein soon.”
“Right. We have to end the relationship with Zein tomorrow and then tell 
the gang what is going to happen.”
