"Haste"

-Part 1-

The rustling of leaves against the Ragnarok's glass panel shook Laguna 
awake. He
open his eyes a little only to close it again.

"Damn the sun..." said Laguna, now trying to get up.

He then dropped to the floor on his knees and a tear dropped. He tilted his 
head
up and stood up and walked towards the back of the Ragnorok. Everyone was 
out by
the beach while he was still taking his afternoon nap. He saw Squall and 
Rinoa
lying side by side along the beach aisle with Zell nearby stuffing hotdogs 
into
his mouth.

"Boy, has this kid grown. I'm starting to feel old already."

"Raine, let's get out of here before they find us... if we stay here too 
long,
we'll die, " whispered Laguna to Raine.
"Look Laguna, " Raine reached out her hand.

Blood was trickling down.

"You'll be alright..., I promised you that I will bring you out of this 
horrid
place, " breathed Laguna.
"I don't understand how we got here in the first place, and... " Raine tried 
to
speak.
Laguna started to speak again, "It doesn't matter anymore; what's important 
is
that we get out alive off this desert."

As Laguna was previous a former member of SOLDIER, he had access to 
different
power plants that SHINRA had build over the years. Laguna was differently to 
all
other soldiers, as he was not only exposed to Mako, but he had inbuilt nano
chips into his arms, which gives him insane accurancy and proficiency in 
using
guns. He was programmed as a killer, remotely controlled by nano machines.
However, Laguna's body rejected the nano machines, a case that happens 1 in
every thousand soldiers. As a result, he was thrown into prison along 
together
with his pregnant wife.

"There they are!" shouted a soldier, as he fire a few round off his rifle.
"Damn bastards, " Laguna return 2 rounds from his custom ray, a pistol to 
work
along his nano machines.

One bullet hit the right arm and the other on the left leg of the soldier. 
He
dropped down on the floor.

"I hope he doesn't die..." spoked the injuried Raine.
"He won't, I didn't hit any vital areas, " replied Laguna.
"Laguna, it's painful... " Raine raised her arm that was hit by a bullet
earlier.
"Don't look, or it'll hurt even more, " said Laguna as he took a part of his
shirt to bandage the wound.

Looking up far ahead, he saw the city, but they were still on Lv 2 on the
prision. He figured that the exit on Lv 1 should be heavily guarded and he
needed an alternative out.

"Chocobo's.... " whispered Raine.

The roaring sound was getting louder.

"There's a herd of them. Someone's coming for us," smiled Laguna, as he 
landed a
kiss on Raine's forehead, "Stay alive."

"I will."

Raine tucked into Laguna's arms. Laguna then place her hands together on her
stomach. "Squall, stay alive too."
