This chapter took a little longer to complete, because I had a few days of relaxing and also because this chapter is longer than previous ones. I hope you like this chapter as well as the others. THANKS TO YOU ALL! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The way down the sea deep research center to rescue Quistis and kill Ultima was slow and tedious. Monsters appeared more frequently. They tried to save GFīs energy as well as their own for Ultima, and thatīs why they were using more magic, like Quake and Ultima. Finally, they arrived where Ultima Weapon was... "Ultima Weapon," shouted Irvine. "He hasnīt changed at all," added Zell. "No time to waste talking. ULTIMA, where is Quistis?" shouted the desperate Squall. "If you donīt tell us, we will beat ya up," said Selphie. Ultima didnīt move or said anything. He just fly a few feet from the ground and looked at them... "Watch out!! He may attack us," exclaimed Zell. All of our friends prepared to defend, but nothing happened. Ultima just saw them quietly while they were worried about what attack he was going to execute. "What is he so quiet? Come on, tell me where you took Quistis," shouted Squall. Ultima started to fly up again. Squall jumped to intercept him, but Ultima was too high for him to attack. "Donīt escape you stupid Weapon!!! Come here and fight me," screamed Squall. "KREEEELIIAAAAN,"said Ultima in a low voice that sounded like an echo. After he said this, he left. "What did he say? He said Krelian, why did he say his name," asked Selphie. "I think he wanted to tell us something with it," said Irvine. "Maybe what he wanted to say is that Krelian took Quistis. Letīs take a look around,and if we donīt find her, it means Krelian took her," said Zell while starting to search all around. Squall and the others started to look around for any trace of Quistis. Squall remained silent and seemed that he was deep in thought while he searched desperately for Rinoa. They looked for her for about 2 hours. They were tired of searching and all sit down, expect Squall... "Damn this! Krelian took Quistis for some reason, im sure of it. This happened because of Rinoa, she forced me to go back and wait for you, if I hadnīt followed her order, I could have saved her," said Squall while punching the ground. Selphie stood up and came to where Squall was. She got in front of him and slapped his face twice, one in every cheek... "Donīt you dare say it was Rinoaīs fault. At ainīt her fault or anyones fault. She did the right thing: If it wasnīt for her, you could be dead right now. You should thank her for what she did," said Selphie. "Thank her? I could have saved her with all my strenght," afirmed Squall. "Thatīs not true, you were to weak," said Irvine. "I donīt care what you guys say. I will go save her no matter what it takes. Iīll go save her all alone," said Squall. Squall ran up the floors of the sea deep research center. Irvine tried to stop him, but he couldnīt. Squall got in the Ragnarok and used the little emergency aircraft to leave the research center. His destination is unknown... Meanwhile, Selphie, Irvine and Zell also returned to the Ragnarok. They found Rinoa asleep, so they got in quietly and departed to Balamb Garden. Krelian, by the way, took Quistis to the temple. Krelian was holding Quistis tightly while he walked through the narrow passages of the temple. There were rooms everywhere. The walls had a red color and the floor was black. It was almost dark in that temple, but the golden staff gave Krelian visibility to walk through the passages into his room. Krelian accomodated Quistis in the bed and healed her... "Where am I?" said Quistis surprised of the bizarre place she was. "Thereīs no reason to be afraid. You are inside my temple," said Krelian softly. "What do you want from me? Where are Squall and my friends," said Quistis struggling with Krelian to get up. "They must be dead if Ultima followed my orders. You are now all alone in my temple and have nowhere to go. Balamb will be destroyed shortly and I will claim the power of the GODDESS soon after that," said Krelian. "They canīt be dead. They wonīt loss to some stupid Weapon," shouted Quistis. "What GODDESS are you talking about Krelian? And what are you going to do with Balamb Garden," added Quistis. "Thereīs no need for you to know what GODDESS im talking about. And you are going to see what im going to do with Balamb shortly," said Krelian laughing. "You wonīt get away with this. Iīll defeat you right here," shouted Quistis. Quistis tried to launch her Limit Break: SHOCKWAVE PULSAR, but Krelian hit her head with his staff when she was about to unleash her attack. Quistis fell unconcious after that. "HAHAH. Donīt challenge me cutie girl or you will get hurt. Well, you better sleep while I arrange everything for the destruction of Balamb and my final objective to accomplish," said Krelian while leaving the room and locking the door. Selphie, Rinoa, Irvine and Zell arrived finally in Balamb Garden. The medics took Rinoa to the infirmary to rest while Selphie and the other two discussed the situation at Cidīs Office... "Well guys. We have a lot of problems on hand. We will discuss each problem at a time, so we get more organized and have a chance to make better plans," said Selphie firmly. "Hit it on!" cried Irvine. "Letīs hear it," said Zell. "I think the first problem we need to discuss is finding Quistis. If its true what Ultima Weapon tried to tell us about Krelian kidnapping Quistis, then we know where to find her," said Selphie. "Yes. She is probably being held in the temple," said Zell. "But in order to rescue her, we have to deal with two more problems: Ultima Weapon and....," said Irvine as he was interrupted by... "KRELIAN," shouted Aerith. Aerith came to Cidīs Office to see what Selphie and the others were trying to do to save the World. She still was very sad by the fact that Krelian was evil. "I think we should wait for Squall to come back and Rinoa to get better to make a plan. If we remain united, we may be able to defeat the Weapons, save Quistis and....defeat Krelian" said Aerith in low voice. "How do you know Squall is out? Also, how do you know about what happened to Quistis," asked Selphie. "I donīt know. I just feel I have seen it. I canīt explain this," said Aerith confused. "You are a very strange girl indeed Aerith. Beautifull and bizarre," said Irvine trying to hug Aerith. "Cut it Out Irvine! This ainīt the time for this and besides, you are my boyfriend," screamed Selphie. "I was only trying to comfort her," exclaimed Irvine. "This is not the time to get jealous. Maybe we should follow Aerithīs advice and wait for Squall," said Zell. Selphie and Irvine were fighting(well, not fighting, but you know how Selphie getīs when Irvine tries to get the attention of a girl). Zell knew this was a good chance to be a leader, so he approached Aerith... "I donīt think Squall will come back. I think itīs better if we go find him, and Iīll command this action of finding him" said Zell. "Heīll come back. He knows he needs us to rescue Quistis, donīt worry about it. Letīs wait him her," said Aerith. Another frustrated attempt Zell had made to be the leader of something. He got upset for 5 minutes, but after that, he was punching the wall again practicing his techniques. Aerith left Cidīs Office, took the elevator down to the first floor and headed to the Infirmary to check on Rinoa. When she arrived, Rinoa was already awake. "Rinoa, how are you feeling," asked Aerith. "Physically well, but sentimentally very bad," said Rinoa with sad voice. "You need to understand Squall. It took him the long journey you made to defeat Ultimecia to realize he needed friends, and now that he feels that one of those friends needs him, he wants to help that person no matter what it takes," said Aerith. "How do you know all this?," asked Rinoa surprised. "I donīt know. It feels like if I can see everything that happen to people I know," said Aerith. "Since you know a lot...Is Squall comming back?" asked Rinoa "He will. Hey Rinoa, letīs go to Cidīs Office and report to the others. Iīm sure they will be happy to see you are OK," said Aerith. "Sure. I want to see them too," said Rinoa trying to forget about where Squall was. They both walked back to Cidīs Office. Rinoa again asked Aerith in the way there about this unsual skill she had, but she couldnīt explain it. "RINOA!!!!" shouted Selphie as she hugged Rinoa. "Nice to see you guys again," said Rinoa. "I knew you would get well fast," said Zell. "Very cool to see you with full energy Rinoa," said Irvine. "Thanks Zell, Irvine, Selphie," said Rinoa feeling a lot better now from her depression. "Friends, we need to wait for Squall now. He will return today, I know it. Letīs see, its already 5:00 PM. Why donīt we break up and relax? said Aerith. "Yeah thatīs a good idea. Selphie, why donīt we go to the Café?" asked Irvine. "I know you want to make up for making me jealous. Well, im giving u another chance... Letīs go Irvine. See ya around Rinoa,Aerith and Zell." said Selphie while grabbing Irvineīs arm. "See ya yo two," said Zell. "I think im taking a walk around Balamb. I want to think about this special power I have and try to figure out what it is," said Aerith. "Take care Aerith, and thanks for all friend," said Rinoa. "No problem friend. HEHE, Good Bye to you too Zell," said Aerith laughing. "Bye!!" shouted our electric Zell. "Im going down to the Training Center. I want to get stronger for the upcomming battles," said Zell. "Please donīt try to pick on a one on one fight against the Hexadragon like last time," said Rinoa. "I wonīt. Last time I had to run from him. Iīll kill other monsters, donīt worry about it," said Zell confident. "Bye then Zell," said Rinoa. As usual, Zell wanted to kick ass in the training center. Zell felt he needed more strenght for the upcomming battles, so he wanted to "Level Up" a bit. As for Rinoa, she went to her room to read some "Dog Techniques" magazines. She sat on the cold floor while she readed the magazines. Although Aerith had distracted her a bit, she was still very sand and cooldnīt stop thinking about Squall. Irvine and Selphie were having a great time in the Café. They waited for the musicians to make their appeareance(at 8:00 PM) to dance. They both were very happy. Aerith had walked all the way to Balamb City. There, she went to relax in the Balamb Hotel while she saw the sundown. It was 10:00 PM when she started the walk back to Garden. Misteriously, no monsters tried to attack her. Some of the strongest monsters around Balamb attacked at night, but it seemed these monsters kind of feared Aerith. She walked quietly and slowly back to Balamb still thinking about her unusual power she had discovered. On her way to Garden, she saw a small plane landing near. She approached quietly and saw Squall descending from it. She was so happy to see Squall had returned healthy. Our hero walked in Balamb Garden, followed cautiously by Aerith. She wanted to make sure Squall went directly to see Rinoa, and so it happened. Squall had Rinoaīs room key, so he used it and when he got in, she found her asleep on the floor It was 10:30 PM now. Squall grabbed Rinoa with his strong arms and put her in the bed. This movement made Rinoa wake up... "Squall??? What are you doing here," asked Rinoa very surprised. "I went to Esthar to talk to Doc Odine. I wanted to know if there was a way to get in the temple to rescue Quistis," said Squall. "Yes..Quistis. Did you learn anything new?" asked Rinoa. "Yes. Doc Odine had been monitoring everything that had happened. He told me the temple had a more powerfull shield than the one in Lunatic Pandora, and that it was impossible to destroy it using the Ragnarok or any other war plane. But the good news is he told me everytime Krelian stepped outside of the temple, the shields dropped to a very low level, and I think thatīs when we can get in," said Squall. "We have a plan now. We better tell Selphie and the others about this," exclaimed Rinoa. "Itīs better to tell them tomorrow. Itīll be better if we all got a good night rest for tomorrowīs battle," said Squall standing up from the bed. "OK! Squall, why are you talking to me again? I thought you...you...hated me," said Rinoa starting to release tears. "I thought Quistis had died. I couldnīt control what I was saying. I just felt that I was going to lose one of my friends," said Squall. "And you had to lay all your anger on me?--- The girl that loves you more than anything??," screamed Rinoa. There was a long silence. Squall stood there seeing down the floor while Rinoa was crying and waiting for an answer. "Rinoa, I donīt know what Iīm feeling right now. I think we better settle all the problems and then we can talk about this," said Squall firmly. "Get out of my room!!!!!!" shouted Rinoa. Squall left the room without any reply. Rinoa sat there crying like she had never cried before. She couldnīt believe that all that had happened between them was not enough for him to love her. Rinoa now felt unloved and that Squall didnīt care about her. Aerith saw Squall leaving Rinoaīs room very deep in thought. When Squall was far enough, Aerith approached Rinoaīs room. When she was about to knock, she heard Rinoa crying, so she decided to leave her alone. Then she ran very fast to catch up with Squall... "What have you done to her," asked Aerith angrily. "OH itīs you Aerith. I donīt wanna talk about this OK?" said Squall. "We will talk about this now," said Aerith grabbing Squalls arm moving him around to her room. "Well, you made me come here. What is it you want to know," asked Squall. "Why did you leave Rinoa crying? Donīt you know she loves you a lot," said Aerith angry. "I just told her the truth. I know she loves me a lot, thatīs why I told her the truth," said Squall. "You are going to tell me you love Quistis??? Please give me a break Squall. You and me know perfectly you love Rinoa," said Aerith. "Iīm in a crisis here. I need to rescue Quistis and I canīt think about this things right now. If you please, will you let me go back to my dorm and let me sleep. Im tired," said Squall. "You are very mean. I just pray that when you realize that you are wrong, everyone can forgive you for your behavior," shouted Aerith while leaving Squallīs room. "Yes Yes," shouted angrily Squall. Aerith left Squallīs very mad and went to her room to get some sleep. Everyone slept very well, except of course, Squall and Rinoa. At 6:00 AM... "ALERT ALERT ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Krelianīs temple is approaching our hideout at a very high speed. People under 16 please take refuge at the nearest asigned shelter. Seeds and people over 16, please cover all exits and stand by." said Nida through the mic. As soon as this alert was announced, Zell, Irvine & Selphie(which spent the night together), Squall & Rinoa ran as fast as they could to the bridge. Aerith also came to the bridge. Meanwhile in Krelianīs temple... "Well my beautifull girl, it is time for you to be usefull," said Krelian laughing. "What are you going to do with me," asked Quistis trying to punch Krelian. "Donīt try anything stupid Quistis. You will se how your loved Balamb and your friends go down. It is only a matter of minutes until I fulfill my ultima goal," said Krelian with unsane voice. "I wonīt let you do that," shouted Quistis, again trying to attack Krelian. "You shall be the bait for īHerī awakening," said Krelian. "What do you mean? Who is going to awake," asked Quistis. Suddenly an alarm started to go on... "Well, this sound means we are in position to launch the attack. One of my subordinates will come for you in some time, so make sure you are ready," said Krelian leaving the room. "You wonīt get away with this," shouted Quistis slamming the now closed door. Now, back to Balamb Garden.... "Whats the situation Nida," asked Squall. "Krelianīs temple started moving 5 minutes ago and stopped just now. It seems he is planning to attack, but I canīt see any Weapons around," said Nida. "He may be planning to trap us. It is better to keep an eye, not only to the temple, but everywhere," said Selphie. "Squall, maybe its time to put in practice your plan," said Rinoa. "Yeah we can. Well guys, tisī the plan," said Squall. Squall explained to all the plan he had made after he talked to Doc Odine. For those of you readers who forgot, the plan is to wait for Krelian to come out of the temple and wait for the shields to decrease. When all this happened, they would attack. "Ok its settled. All of us, including Rinoa, will be inside the Ragnarok, waiting for the shields to drop. Aerith, use this computer to monitor the templeīs shields. When the shields go down, send us the signal and we go in," said Squall. "I will Squall, please take care," said Aerith trying to understand the computer program. "Squall, can I talk to you before we go," asked Rinoa with such a sweet voice that even the devil himself would have listen to her. "We will talk later. We need to rescue Quistis first," said Squall. "Letīs go!" shouted Zell. Everyone equipped themselves with the best weapons, GFīs and Magic. Rinoa was more heartbroken than ever. She thought she had lost Squall forever. Even with this sadness, she was prepared to die by his side. The Ragnarok was stationed where Balamb Garden usually was(the place where you found Pupu). They all got in and waited for Aerithīs signal....... "HAHAHAH. Everything goes as planned. They are expecting an attack from me. Please bring me Quistis now," said Krelian in front of the templeīs exit. "What do you want from me," asked Quistis as she arrived to where Krelian was. "Just stay with me and youīll see," said Krelian with full confidence. Krelian and Quistis came out from the temple. They were exactly in a mirror like room on top of the temple. From there, they could see all of their around. All Balamb Garden saw how Quistis and Krelian stood there. They were all asking themselves why were they there. The same question was in the minds of our friends who where in the Ragnarok. "HAHAHA. They all must be asking why are we here," said Krelian. "Why are we here jerk," shouted Quistis again trying to attack him. "Donīt be so impatient. Youīll see in a moment. HMMM, where are Alpha & Omega Weapons? They must be touring the world. HAHAA. It doesnīt matter, I can take care of myself," said Krelian controlling Quistis attacks. "Any shield dropping yet??" asked Squall via radio. "Not yet, shields are 100 % functional," said Aerith. Just 10 seconds later, Krelian stood outside of the mirror room with Quistis. He was holding the golden staff with his right arm, while he hugged Quistis with the left one... "SQUALL!!!!!! The shields have dropped to 30 %," said Aerith via Radio. "Thanks. Letīs head for it now and rescue Quistis," shouted Squall with full confidence. The Ragnarok was heading full speed towards the temple. Krelian saw this and with his staff, threw a big green energy ball, which hit the Ragnarok, thus damaging the motors. "Report damage Selphie," shouted Squall. "The motors have received a lot of damage. We canīt go down, up, left or right. We are stuck where we are," said Selphie. "At least we didnīt fall," said Rinoa. "Shut up! I canīt believe you said that. We are here to rescue Quistis and not to get stuck in the mid air," shouted Squall. Rinoa released some tears after that. Then, Krelian faced the direction where Balamb was and... "AERITH!!!!! Come outside of the Garden or I shall destroy it to pieces," shouted Krelian. Aerith grabbed the mic... "What do you want from me evil Krelian??," said Aerith. "If you donīt come out in 30 seconds, I shall destroy Garden with you in it," shouted Krelian. Squall tried to convince Aerith not to go, but he couldnīt. Aerith felt responsible for the Garde, thus forcing her to comply with Krelianīs demands. Meanwhile, Selphie was trying to make the motors run again. Aerith got on top of the Garden, waiting to hear what Krelian wanted... "What is it you want Krelian???" asked Aerith. "Good girl Aerith. Now, havenīt you noticed any strong power within you??" asked Krelian. "What power? I donīt know what are you talking about," said Aerith. "HAHAH. U cannot be a worst liar. I can see in your face that you know what I am talking about. Well, enough talk, time to get serious," said Krelian preparing to do somethin. Krelian put his staff in front of him. A white energy surrounded the staff. Then he pointed Garden with it, and when he was about to launch the energy ball, Quistis moved making him miss. "Damn you Quistis," said Krelian "You wonīt do anything to my Garden," shouted Quistis. "Iīll destroy Garden after I kill you Quistis," shouted Krelian so hard everyone heard.
