What is that infernal racket! Aaaahh!" It was simple. Astral had left a CD on when the power was cut off. Then, at 2am, the CD was blearing at great heights. Slowly Astral got off her bed and turned her CD player off. She closed her bedroom door. "Can't you call me by my proper name?" She moaned. "OK... Astraluine!" "Just....call....me....Astral...." Laguna glanced around the room. He looked at the girl in the seat in front of him. "Soo...Astral...why'd you wanna come here? To Esthar Garden?" "I can't tell you that?" "Why not?" "Personal buisness..." Astral looked down at the patterns on the ground. Curvy lines. They made her go dizzy... "How old are u again?" "19. Weren't you the president of Esthar?" "I was. But I left it to my son Squall..." "Why?" "Just a power hungry man... im guessing." "Oh. OK." Squall stared at the sky. A mad sorceress was loose in his country, his best friends daughter was slaughtered, and there was a type of void in the sky. Squall couldn't guess why it was there, but mysteriously people were vanishing. Squall vowed he would see what was happening... 3 days later... Selphie was sitting at the Ragnarok controls. Everyone else was talking, or worrying to themselves. "OK guys... and girls... this is it." Everyone came over. "Zell, Quisty, Irvy, Squall, Seifer..." Selphie looked around the room. "WE are about to change the history of the world..." "Cool..." "Even though we are in our thirties, if our calculations are correct, we will disappear into the void, to before the time Rinoa cursed us. Remember, RINOA WAS NEGLECTED. We can't neglect her now... LETS GO!" Selphie piloted the Ragnarok towards the void. "WHOOOOO - HOOOOOOOO!" Squall opened his eyes. He stared up at the celing. He remembered it all. He was 17 again! He jumped for joy...almost. He got off his bed and walked out the door. He walked into the cafeteria. He saw Quistis by the bar, and Rinoa at a nearby table. He walked up to Rinoa and gave her a hug. "Oh Squall..." "Rinoa...everything will be alright...I promise..." From around the room at different places, Squall saw Selphie, Zell, Quistis, Irvine and Seifer winking at him. He smiled. He stood up. "Lets go my angel..." "Alright..." Another beautiful morning. Squall slowly got out of Rinoas tight, but safe grip, and into the bathroom. He dressed slowly and looked at himself. He looked as good as ever. He turned to see Rinoa. "Hey babe" She said, giving him a hug. "Hello my angel..." Rinoa giggled. Her expression softened and it was just... "Squall...?" "Yes?" "Where were you?" "When?" "... ... Last night?" "With you. Why?" "Were you? ... It seems like a dream..." "But it wasn't. Was it?" "No. Of course not. Just me and my wonders." "Don't worry. I'll always love you." "Thanx sweetie..." "Hey!" "What?" Said Rinoa, surprised. "You're coming out to tea with me tonight..." "But my lesson with Edea...?" "NO! Would you rather spend time with me?" "Of course Squall!" Squall suddenly realised Rinoa was shivering. He hugged her, make her feel warm... "Thanks Squall..." Quistis sat on a pillar. She couldn't be seen, because she was on the library roof. Balamb hadn't changed. She hadn't been here in 14 years. But that was a lie, now that the fate of the world rested in their changing the past. Poor Squall had the most burden. He had to prevent Edea and Rinoas lessons. Stop Rinoa from even seeing Edea. It would be tough. But Squall had been prepared. He would overcome it. Quistis knew he would. He overcame all his fears. All except one. Suddenly, everything around Quistis turned black. Quistis was no longer on her pillar. In a void of nowhere... Squall and Rinoa were having lunch together. Rinoa was happily talking about Angelos new ability, and Squall was listening with a lot of interest, when everything around the two went black. Squall could see Rinoa slowly fading. He had done it. Now he was in the void. Squall came to in the Ragnarok. Everything was dark in the spacesiut... The spacesuit? He saw another spacesuit. Facing away from him. He pulled his off and saw Rinoa, sturuggling with hers. He walked over, and loosened the arms on the suit. And pulled off the helmet. Rinoa smiled. Squall was about to take the top half off when a hand touched his. Rinoas pale hand quickly darted off his. Rinoa eased herself away from Squall and pulled her spacesuit off. She walked over to the door, turned, faced Squall and put her arms out. "(What does she... oh)" Squall walked over to Rinoa and before she could say anything, gave her a hug. "Squall..." "Rinoa...don't say anything. I can't bear what you would say..." (Chapter 4... * Did Squall succeed in his job? * Did Astral get caught in the void? * Is the void closed?
