Your Knight There I was sitting on my bloody desk thinking on how to solve Garden's money problem. Mission? Well, there has been no bloody mission since I killed Ultimecia and that was a month ago. Men I'm bore. I need some action. This paper work is not my style, now the fighting work, now that is my style, lets say it's part of me. I wonder what are the guys doing right now. I've been so busy I haven't been able to hang out with them. I really wish I had some time away from all this Garden stuff. There was Squall sitting behind his desk with piles of papers all over his desk. Suddenly a student came in, he looked at him and ran away. Squall really hated that. That's what I hate the most, they come in , look at me and then they ran off. Why don't they ask me whatever they want to know. It really make me sick. Why do they do that? Somewhere else at Balamb Garden, Rinoa was sitting with Quistis, who was at her lunch break. Suddenly Rinoa felt sad and Quistis kind of knew about what. "Rinoa, are you alright?" "Yes, Quistis, is just that since Squall is commander, he's always too busy to hang out with us at least one day." "Rinoa, I understand you, but you have to understand he has the responsability of taking care of Garden." "I understand that, but I don't know if that kiss he gave that night was real or not." "What do you mean real?" "If he really loves me or if he's just playing with my feelings." Quistis' grin changes from friendly to totaly pissed off, Rinoa wasn't prepared for what Quistis was going to say. "Look Rinoa, I know Squall ever since we were kids back at the orphanage and he's not the kind of person that likes to play with other peoples feelings. So watch your mouth from saying things about Squall that are not true."Quistis got up really mad and left Rinoa with a scare look on her eyes. Squall was still sitting behind his desk when Quistis stormed into the office scaring him to death. "Squall Leonhart, I'm here to talk about a little bussines with you." Said Quistis in a very commanding tone. I hate when she do that. She comes in and tells me she wants to talk in that bloody commanding tone. I hate to be commanded. But I wonder......... "I hope is important, I have work to do."Said Squall in his casual, cool tone. "I think it is, sir." "Don't call me like that and talk before I get pissed off." "Do you really love Rinoa?" I knew it wasn't so important. Does she still loves me to make a question like that? But I thought she said she had mistaken her feelings for me. "Quistis, I don't have time for this, I....." Quistis cut him off before he could finish. "Then at least tell me why don't you hang out with us anymore." Squall gave her a mean look there was a silence before any of them spoke again. "Look Quistis, I'm young, but that doesn't mean I'm not responsable, I have to take care of Garden." "Then be responsable about your actions too." "What do you mean?" What is she talking about? What did I did wrong? Could it be...? "I can't believe you're so insensible." "Huh? What are you talking about?" "Huh, you kiss Rinoa, you make her live an illusion, way up in the sky and then you'll just let her fall knowing is going to hurt her." "Quistis, mind your own bussines." "I can't believe it, I defend you with teeth and claws as if I knew you, but now I see I don't even know half of the person you really are." "Get the hell out of here, right now." Said Squall already pissed off with Quistis speech. She looked at him with a real mean look and stormed off. When Quistis closed the door Squall threw his pen against it. Who the hell does she thinks she is? She doesn't have the right to storming into my office and say all those things like if I didn't had enough problems being commander. That's it, I'm sick of this. Squall got up and stormed out pushing everything and everyone who got in his way.It was already night, and Rinoa was walking to the Quad when she heard something from the parking lot. She drew her weapon in case she needed it and got in silently, to see who was there at that time of the night. She saw a young man hooded with his jacket taking one of the motorcicles. She jumped out of her hiding place and got him by his neck, but he got her arm and turned around. He saw her face and let her go while saying: "I'm sorry, Rinoa, I didn't know it was you." "Squall? But what are you doing here?"Squall turned and continued what he was doing. ".........I'm leaving."Rinoa's happy expression turned into sadness after hearing does words. "Why?"He turned to her again. "I'm going nuts if I keep on with this commander stuff." "I don't want you to leave." "Look, if I'm not here it means you don't have to be here,you can leave and live a happy life away from fights." "Where are you going and what are you going to do?" "Well I've been thinking in going to Winhill to visit my mother's grave and then to Esthar to talk with Laguna that wants to talk with me. But hey, I'm going to miss you." "Don't leave then."He put his hand on her cheek while saying with a sad tone: "I'm really sorry, Rinoa, but..... I talked with Quistis today...... well, in fact, we had a little dispute and I found out that I need to do some thinking. I think I got carried away that night when I kissed you, but I'm not sure, this is all new for me, I just need to breathe. Is that okay with you?"Rinoa started to cry and Squall hugged her and said: "I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. Listen..."Rinoa looked at him straight to the eyes. "Rinoa, I'll always be your knight, no matter what."He kind of smiled, kissed her forehead, and left Balamb Garden and Rinoa. Who the hell am I lying to? I know..... I'm lying to myself, I'm so confuse. Squall forgot to keep his eyes on the road and when he turned he saw a little girl right in front of his motorcicle. He turned as fast as he could and shattered against a tree. The next day in Balamb Garden it was a chaos. They were all looking for their commander, who was nowhere to be found. Quistis went to the parking lot and founded Rinoa crying on a corner. "Rinoa, what's wrong?" ".....He...(sob)...left.....(sob).. ....he won't come back."Quistis hugged Rinoa trying to comfort her. Quistis took Rinoa to the office where Headmaster Cid as waiting for Squall to appear. "Quistis, where is Squall?"Asked the Headmaster. "He left Balamb Garden forever." Answered Quistis. The Headmaster shook his head while saying: "Why would he leave? Then it means I'll take control of Garden again." The Headmaster took the MIC and told the studens that he was encharge again. Squall opened his eyes and found himself laying on the ground,the motorcicle by his side and a huge tree in front of him. He tried to remember what hapened or at least if he hit the girl. What....happened? Did I hit the girl? I'll better go and check.Ouch! My whole body hurts. My arm.....I don't feel my left arm. I can't get up. Squall got up with a groan, holding his left arm in pain. He looked up and saw the little girl. She smiled at him evily and he asked her. "Hey, are you okay?" The girl kept smiling and then she disappeared right in front of him. What the .....? Where is she? Squall was amaze and he felt something going up and down his spine. He got to the main street and started to walk to the nearest town. He got to Balamb Town. He could hardly breathe and went to the hospital. He got in there and faint on the lobby, the nurse that was on the lobby ran to him and took him to the emergency room, where two doctors were talking. She said: "Guys hurry up this kid has lost too much blood." They begun to attend him. Rinoa was on her dorm now, thinking on where could Squall be at that moment. She felt like if something was wrong, but she thought it was the fact that Squall was gone. Where am I? Am I dead? Wha.....What is this tube on my arm? Wait, I'm not dead..... But why is the celing white? I'm.....OH NO, I'M ON A HOSPITAL!!! I need to get out of here, before they call to Balamb Garden with my ID number. Squall got up with all his strengh, the nurse came in and put him back to the bed. "You're not healed yet, sweety." Said the good looking girl with a mini-squirt and a nurse's coat. "I need to get out of here. Did you called to Balamb Garden without my permission?" The good looking nurse put her hand on his cheek like trying to seduce him saying: "Sweety, just calm down, we had to know who are you. Oh,you have a really nice name, Squall." "You don't understand, I don't want them to find me. I'll leave before they come." "Too late, they're here already." "WHAT!!!?" He turned his face in disbelief and she kissed his forehead. He looked at her in disbelief and she walk away trying to seduce him with her walk. Rinoa was outside Squall's room waiting for him to wake up. The nurse came out and said: "He woke up, but he didn't wanted you to find him." Rinoa ran with her friends inside of Squall's room to see him struggling to get up. Rinoa put her hands softly on his chest. He laid back on the bed again looking at her. She sadly smiled and touched his cheek sweetly. He closed his eyes as he feeled her sweet touch. Quistis was still mad, because she didn't wanted Squall to hurt Rinoa's feelings. The others were happy to see them together, but that made Quistis even more furious and left the room. The others, except for Rinoa, ran after her, leaving Squall and Rinoa alone. Squall knew why Quistis was mad and Rinoa knew it too. She looked at him and said: "Don't worry Squall, she'll get over it." He sadly looked at her and said: "That's not the problem." "Then what is it?" "That maybe she's right." "What do you mean?"Squall turned his face away and Rinoa turned sad just by thinking what he was trying to say. Squall kept silence and Rinoa started to cry. Squall closed his eyes as tears came from his eyes, he felt the cold tears falling down his cheeks and suddenly he felt Rinoa's tears falling on his neck as Rinoa got closer to him. He hugged her and said: "I'm sorry, but I wanted to leave to know if I really loved you." She hugged him tighter. What is this I'm feeling? I want to kiss her, I want to hold her, I.....What the hell is wrong with me? My heart is beating way to fast, I feel nervious, but at the same time I feel this warmth in my heart. Oh Rinoa, you.....I don't want to hurt you. I feel like this only when I'm near you. Squall, moved Rinoa a little bit away from him, there was an inch between their lips and Squall said: "You make me feel warm...and I feel my heart beating fast when you're near me...Can you tell me what is this?" Rinoa looked at him straight to his eyes. She could feel him breathing near her lips. Squall put his hand on her cheek and pulled her to kiss her. She couldn't believe what he said and what he did. It was the most sweet kiss. He couldn't believe that he just did that, but he wanted that moment to last forever. Her lips against his, her hand on his face and her long hair falling on his chest. Just when he tought it would last forever Quistis got inside. Squall softly stopped kissing Rinoa and looked at Quistis, who said: "Squall, I tought I was clear." "You were clear, but I just found out that I...."A really big explotion took Squall's attention as Selphie came in saying: "We have a big problem, Squall. Is Seifer, he's out there really hurt and a small girl with red hair is hitting him really hard." Squall made a worried expression and Rinoa looked at him: "I'll better go and help him right away." Rinoa hold him and said: "You're hurt, you stay here." She ran outside with Quistis and Selphie. Squall started to get worried, he didn't wanted to lose Rinoa on some stupid battle. He begun thinking that if that little girl was hurting Seifer she was probably another evil sorceress and that made Squall even more worried than he was before. If that girl is hurting Seifer, the second strongest fighter, I don't want to imaging what can she do to Rinoa. I got to get the hell out of here. Squall couldn't stand, he got on his feet and fell to the ground with a big thud. He groan while he tried to get up again with his right hand only. It seems like if one of his legs was hurt too. So, he fell on the ground again. When he saw himself on the floor he gave up. I can only hope that nothing happens to them out there. I don't know what will I do without them. I feel useless in here, please God help them. Squall begun to cry, feeling useless and guilty, because if something happens to his friends it would be his fault. Meanwhile, Rinoa and the others were outside looking at the girl, who had Seifer by the neck, she was flying pretty high. Rinoa was the only one that could stand a chance against her, because she was a sorceress. She looked at her friends and nodded at them they all nodded with her and started to fight. Selphie, Irvine, Zell and Quistis separated around the girl while Rinoa flew to reach the girl to show her what being a sorceress really is. The girl looked at Rinoa and said: "Where is Squall Leonhart?" "Why would you like to know?" "I want him to be my knight, to destroy thy world." "I'm sorry to disappoint you, but he's already my knight." "Then I shall do something about it. Thy world shall be mine or shall be destroy by me and my loyal knight." The little girl made somekind of spell that send Rinoa against the hospital's wall. Then Rinoa fell on the ground. Rinoa's eyes turned red as she flew again and threw an energy ball to the little girl. The battle kept on like that for quite a while. Suddenly the little girl stopped fighting and so did Rinoa. The little girl said: "I shall leave for now, but I'll be back for him." Then she disappeared right in front of them. Rinoa's eyes got back to their dark brown normal color again and she got down. Her head was spining, so, she sat down on the ground to rest up a little. They took Seifer inside the hospital. Rinoa was still kind of dizzy. She went to Squall's room and saw him on the ground trying to get up, she ran to him and pulled him up. He weakly hold himself onto her. He looked at her straight to the eyes as she helped him sit on the bed. They stared at each other for a while. Once again Squall got her closer to his body, her hands were on his chest and her lips a less than an inch of touching his. He said: "I'll protect you..." "What?" "I'll protect you...no matter what." "Protect me from what, Squall?" "I...I don't know. There's something bothering me, like if someone was calling me, but is for no good rason." "Squall, you're freaking me out?" "I'm sorry, but I feel funny." Squall sweetly kissed Rinoa. Then he spoke again: "Don't want to be away from you. I want to be with you, to take care of you, to protect you and....." "Squall, I'll always be with you, you know that and I know I can always count on you, because you're my knight, remember?" "You are right. I.....I was worried about you." "There's no need to worry, I'm a sorceress." "But even the strongest of all sorceresses, can be in danger. Besides you know sorceresses can be defeated." "Whatever." Squall smiled and said: "Where did I heard that before?" She got even closer to him and kissed him again, but this time it was a more passionate kiss. They were holding each other really tight like if somebody would like to separe them. Just then the nurse came in and scared them to death. "You're not allowed to do that." Squall gave her a mean look and laid his head on the pillow again. Why did she had to come in? I wouldn't care if I never heal back, as long as I had my Rinoa the way I did. Oh brother! And I thought being alone was okay. I have wasted almost all my life trying to be alone. I will protect her, even if I had to die. Rinoa went outside, where Quistis sat really worried about Seifer's well being. Rinoa hugged Quistis saying: "Don't worry, Seifer is a very strong guy, he'll be fine." Quistis sadly smiled at her as Rinoa sat by her side. Meanwhile, Zell was outside doing his backflips and practicing his moves when suddenly someone bumped onto him. He turned and saw beautiful blonde girl with daggers on her hip.
