This is my first fanfic so dont be too hard on me and I dont care aboute spelling mistakes. I want to hear whats good and bad and maybe take some suggestions for later parts. I dont mind criticism. If you want to host this on your site email me saying what site its going on so I can send you all parts. Prologue -------- This story takes place straight after the fight on Ultimecia. This story starts out slow as I will be introducing new characters and expanding on the hero's and their relationships. The main action section of the story will come later. Squall and the gang are on the way back to Balamb garden onboard the Ragnorock to celebrate their victory over Ultimecia. Rinoa is deeply in love with Squall and Selphie is in love with Irvine. When they get back something will happen but what? youll have to read on to find out. I hope you like it. Chapter 1 --------- "Selphie I know you wanna get home in a hurry but could you fly just a bit more carefully, were gonna crash flying like this" Squall moaned " what do you mean CAREFULLY i'm flying as carefully as always" Selphie retaliated " Well sure you are but Rinoa looks a bit green from all your rolls and loop the loops" Squall glances at selphie who grins sheepishly "Sorry rinoa I guess im just happy that we defeated ulimecia" Rinoa is aboute to answear selphie when she pukes up. Irvine who has been learning how to fly the ragnarock takes over so that Selphie cant go crazy again and start doing stunts that shake everybody around and makes Rinoa sick "Aww Irvy why'd you have to spoil my fun, now its boredom all the way back to Garden" Selphie says sulkingly "But its only three minuites away surely you can wait to party" Irvine puts Ragnarock on auto pilot and goes to play cards with Selphie whilst Squall comforts Rinoa who has finaly stopped being sick and has started telling selphie to never pull off stunts again. Selphie's dissapointed but she agrees. The Ragnarock slows down and goes into automatic landing procedures and lands at Balamb. Squall and the rest of the gang get out and meet Seifer at the docks fishing with Raijin and Fujin. Seifer still has his white coat with a red cross and his long slender gunblade but his looks have changed, He looks happy and more caring but his personality remains the same "Oy chicken wuss what you doin on that cool ship" seifer shouts at zell. Zell balls up his fist ready to hit "Friggin hell, after all that you still insult me, why?" "Ha ha whats the matter gonna cry?" seifer teased "Pack it up you two we've got to get back to Garden" Squall says sternly "Whats up my love why are you so tense?" Rinoa asked looking slightly puzzeld at the way squall is behaving. "I dont know I've just got a feeling something's wrong, We have to hurry" everybody now looks at Squall wondering what could possibly be wrong "Squalls right we cant be late back, we'll be punished" Quistis says in her serious tone. The party decide's they should go and head off to Garden. They still have plenty of time left so they walk it back fighting a couple of Grats on the way. When they get back they find it deserted nobody around and no noise exept for the fountain. The garden doesent look like it was attacked and ther isent any bodies around it looks like it was abandoned "Spooky, It looks like nobodies home" Selphie says as a shiver runs down her back "Lets check headmaster Cids office maybe well see somebody on the way" Squall suggests. The group head up the stairs and through the gates into garden. Waiting gathered around the lift is the entire Blanb garden population all shouting welcome back and congratulations to squall and the rest of the gang as they walk in. The gang get pulled away to the main party area wheir Squall first met Rinoa, their are tables full of different sorts of food including hotdogs for Zell. Rinoa leads Squall onto the dance floor and they start dancing "This is the song we danced to the first time we met" Squall whisperd to Rinoa. Rinoa says nothing choosing to kiss squall instead. Selphie and Irvine hold hands as they watch squall and Rinoa dance "Care to dance pretty lady?" Irvine ask's Selphie "of course Irvy" Selphie then grabs Irvine and she huggs him hard finishing off with a kiss then they dance alongside Squall and Rinoa, Selpie winks at Rinoa. Zell hates dancing and doesent have anybody to dance with even if he did like it so he just stuff's his face full of hot dogs "dont Squall and Rinoa make a lovely couple?" Quistis ask's zell "mmphh mmmm" hotdog chunks fall out of zells mouth "What did you say?" Quistis ask's unsure what Zell said "Yea sure" Zell repeats he then proceded to stuff his mouth with more hotdogs "Honestly you act like you havent had hotdogs in years" Quistis then walks away from zell thinking she'd get more sense out of a brick wall when she bumps into somebody who she has never seen before "Ooof so sorry I wasent looking" Quistis apologizes then looks at who it is "Who are you ive never seen you around before?" Quistis asks looking unsure at the newcomer "You must be Quistis Trepe, one of the six who defeated Ultimecia. Pleasure to meet you im Joeanne Chicho, just call me Joe Im a seed just tranferred from Trabia. I left all my freinds behind and now im lost" she says quickly and then takes a deep breath. "Would you like me to show you around Joe?" "Yea why not. Have you got a training centre?" "Yes we have. We just got some new monsters in their so you better be carefull"quistis warns as they head to the training centre. The song fineshes so Squall and Rinoa head to the training area intending to go to the secret area as its so peacefull and beutifull. Selphie and Irvine continue to dance getting closer all the time and kissing more often. In the training centre Quistis and Joe get ready for a battle. Quistis has gotten changed into her usuall red skirt,red top and has gotten her whip out whilst Joe is wearing dark blue shorts with a light blue t-shirt and a dark blue jacket she is 17 years old and very attractive. She has Dark brown hair tied up into a small pony tail Her weapon is called Sword arms. It is basicaly a pair of swords that can be securly attached to the arms like a pair of oversized claws enabling her to lash out easily and not drop the swords. When she isent fighting the blades retract up her arm using a mechanism strapped to her arm holding the blades in place. She demonstrates this unique weapon by spinning around and slashing a T-rexuar several times killing it instantly. "Wow wheir did you learn to fight like that and who desighnd those weapons?" Quistis ask's in awe "I learnt the techniques in Trabia, as for the weapons I designed them and I got a blacksmithe to make them" Quistis and Joe fight more monsters and Joe was just as impressed by Quistis. In the secret area Squall and rinoa are laughing as they mess around. Rinoa uses her sorceress powers to enlarge a grat which chases a young trainee straight out of the training area. The grat then shrinks to the size of a ant before turning into a baloon and floats away. "You've gotten pretty good with you're powers my little angel" Squall stares at Rinoa "Squall theirs something I've really got to tell you" Rinoa says in a serious voice "I ... I am" before Rinoa can finish what she wants to say Cid starts talking on the intercom "can Squall, Rinoa, Selphie, Irvine, Quistis and zell come to my office. Its an emergency." Rinoa look's at Squall looking dissapointed "I'll tell you later ok" Squall is confused, whats wrong with Rinoa, but he agrees anyway "Sure, after we see what Cid wants" Rinoa nods her head and they both leave for headmaster Cids office. Back on the dance floor Selphie and Irvine are trying to pull Zell away from the hotdogs "Come on Zell Cid wants us" Selphie grunts through the effort to pull Zell away. "No I cant leave now, their wont be this many hotdogs again for ages" Zell resist's, Finaly Irvine manges to drag Zell to Cids office but Zell manages to grab a plate of hotdogs and is scoffing them on the way. "Zell look at yourself, youre a seed so act like one" Selphie shouts looking discusted at Zells behavier. Zell only stop's eating once they reached Cids office and then only because he run's out. Cid stands in his office waiting for the seed's. Beside him stands Seifer, Raijin and Fujin. All the seed's that he called arrives plus one extra. Quistis had gotten to know Joeanne better and insisted she came along "This is Joeanne Chicho I hope you dont mind me letting her join us, shes pretty good." Quistis explained. "No not at all, the more the merryer. Right Firstly I would like to announce that Seifer will be joining garden again to become a seed" Squall looked discusted at this news but before he could protest Cid continued " Next the real reason I called you hear, We have a emergency, Squall you're father Laguna has sent us a message. The Esthar are under attack by something really powerfull. Laguna requests youre help" "What are we Waiting for we've got to help out sir Laguna" Selphie say's enthusiastically "I'll go anywheir Selphie goes" Irvine say's "I'll go if Squall goes" is Rinoas answear. "what aboute you Quistis and Joeanne?" Squall ask's. Joeanne thinks aboute it then agrees thinking its aboute time she had some fun. Quistis say's yes straight away. "what aboute you chicken wuss" Seifer teases again. "Im gonna kill him let me at him" Zell struggles to attack seifer as Squall and Irvine has grabbed his arms "you cant kill him he's going with you so keep youre temper" Cid warnes "We best go then we dont want to be too late" Squall sais as he starts leaving. Everybody else follewes Squall and the party increases to eight as Joeanne and Seifer joines the party. They baord the Ragnarock and fly to Esthar leaving the ship on auto pilot so they can talk among themselves. Squall decides they all need a pep talk, a speech "right we dont have many details aboute this mission so it could be very dangerouse or just a walk in the park. We need to be prepared for anything as Esthar has its own army so they wouldent hire us unless they had no choice. Finally Seifer you have to leave Zell alone, we dont want to fight each other as well and Zell stop swatting flys" Everybody laughs at the last remark exept Zell who stops and starts sulking. "Well be in Esthar in five minuites ... whats that dark thing in the sky?" Selphie wonders. Squall wonders over to Selphie and looks out the window "Zell pass my binoculers" Zell passes the binoculers over to Squall who stares at the black thing in the sky "it looks like some sort of dragon, Its huge I wonder if its attacking Esthar" Selphie is shocked by thought of a huge dragon attacking everybody "We've got to see Laguna fast and find out whats happening" selphie starts saying in a panic "Calm down Selph im sure their just fine" Irvine comeforted Selphie. The dragon grows larger and larger in the window "Looks like it's over tears point" Rinoa pointed out as the Ragnarock started landing procedures. As they get out of the Ragnarock a group of Esthar millitary members run towards them "Are you the seeds we hired" the leader asked Squall "yes we are Im Squall, son of Laguna this is Rinoa my girlfreind, Selphie and her boyfreind Irvine, Zell and his arch enemy Seifer and finaly Quistis and her freind Joeanne" Squall inroduced pointing as he said their names "You are to follow us to see president Laguna, we have a crisis at hand" the leader commanded. "Is it anything to do with that huge dragon" Squall asked trying to get some answears "Yes but I cant say no more, Follow me quickly" the commander responded. As the party followed the millitary commander a young man aged around 18 with blond hair gelled back and weiring a black suit coverd in technical gadgets runs towards them when a fireball hits him in the back. He glows orange for a second then falls over. Squall runs over to the poor dude he just saw get roasted and is completly stunned to see him get up completly unharmed "What the hell just happend, You should be dead" Selphie, Rinoa and Quistis just stand around mouths wide open in shock. Zell and Irvine burst out laughing at the girls reaction and Seifer just shakes his head, partly stunned. "Sorry if I surpised you I was just feild testing some of Dr Odines new gadgets. The one you saw is a magic forcefeild it stops spells dead" Selphie whacks irvine and zell with her numbchucks which stops them laughing and knocks Zell out "Ow Selph I thought you loved me" Irvine says sulkingly "I do love you Irvy but you was laughing at us" Squall Laughs at Selphie "Selpy you have to stop knocking Zell out" Zell starts coming around. "Who are you?" Squall asks the unkown stranger "Ha I knew I forgot something. My name is Will polofky I work for Odine" the party introduced themselves and Zell got up "Any chance you have a barrier for physical attacks to save me from Selphy" Selphy went to attack Zell again but Squall stopped her. The military commander is getting impatient "Come on this is urgent, we have to move" the party agree and start moving again followed by Will. At the presidential palace the gaurds let the party through not bothering to follow them as Squall has been a few times before. When they got into the president's office they saw Laguna pacing the room with Kiros and Ward staring out of the huge windows. Squall walked into the room "Hello dad, been waiting long" Laguna spun around and noticed who had just walked in "Hello son, You should have arrived half an hour ago what took so long" Squall shifted feeling guilty "Sorry dad its just that we met Will near the Air station and saw Odines new gadget" Will steps into the room and says hye to Laguna "Ahh Will I was just going to send for you" Laguna says "Ok enough with the small talk its time we get to buissness. That large dragon you have probebly seen on the way over is terrorising the people and the military cant do nothing aboute it, you see it's a Sorceress who has come from the past. As you may already know a sorcerer or sorceress has the power to change the shape of other things and themselves. That dragon is a male sorcerer called Raspudin and only seed can kill him. His past is mainly forgotten so nobody knows what sort of powers he has. Will you have to fight him as well to test Odines technology and help the seeds out" After Lagunas lengthy mission breifing every body feels ready "Well head in on the Ragnarock and then finish of on foot" Squall orders. the party feeling pretty worried aboute this unkown sorcerer heads to the Ragnarock and they take off. They get to Raspudin in minuites and get out ready to fight "Get down here you big chicken" Zell shouts "great tick him off chicken wuss" Seifer says to Zell causing Zell to get mad again. "SILENCE foolish humans you dare take me on, The greatest sorcerer who ever lived and who still lives" Zell looks at everybody faces before replying "Yea we dare" Rasputin got angry and send a large fire blast at the party knocking out the whole party exept for Squall who blocks and isent hurt. " how did you survive my most powerfull attack" Rasputin asks Squall who stays silent. Squall has gotten extremely mad as Rinoa has been hurt "RENZOKUKEN" Squall does a series of horizontal and vertical slashes before finishing off with Lion Heart. Raspudin staggers back still in his dragon form and falls over. Squall revives Rinoa who gets up. "Rinoa use youre powers to change me into a dragon like Rasputin" Squall commands Rinoa "I dont know how to change you back if I do" Rinoa responds getting scared that Squall might ask her to do so anyway. "Just do it Rinoa its the only way for me to defeat him" Squall commands again. Rinoa starts working on a spell and Squall starts changing, getting bigger and changing shape. Squall finally reaches his full size just as Rasputin is getting up. As Squall cannot use his gunblade any more he uses his teeth and claws to scratch and bite large wounds into Rasputins flesh. Rasputin retaliates by sending out a large Ice blast which stabs Squall through the chest like ultimecia did before. Squall screames out in pain but fortunately the ice missed all major organs. Rinoa shouts at Squall "I love you, You cant die". Squall pulls out the ice and rams it into Rasputins heart "NOOoo you cant kill me, im Rasputin" Rasputin starts getting smaller and changing back to his normal size. He realises hes dying so he transfers his powers to squall becuase if he dident he wouldent be able to rest in the afterlife. Nobody else realises squall gets the powers, not even Squall. Rinoa revives the rest of the party who are pretty shocked when they see Squall who is still a dragon. Rinoa explains what happend then tries to turn Squall back to normal and fails. "Rinoa why am I still a dragon?" Squall asks "I warned you I might not be able to turn you back" Rinoa answears. Everybody gets pretty worried and Squall wonders off to get a bit of privacy (which is pretty hard as a huge dragon) and think of how to turn back. Squall starts thinking of how to turn back to normal when he hears a voice in his head "Well done you defeated rasputin so now you have his powers" Squall jumps and quickly looks around "Who are you, What do you mean" Squall asks feeling fairly jumpy "Im a prophet, their are many of us in the world. Some of us are good like me and some of us are bad like Rasputin. You now have his prophet powers and his sorcerer powers making a powerfull combination," Squall is surpised and confused "how do I change my form back to normal" Squall asks feeling rather foolish "Just imagine yourself as you was and feel the power within you" Squall did as he was told and he slowly changed back to normal "Thanks whoever you are" Squall thought "No problem, We need to meet, I need to teach you how to use your powers. I will tell you a location to meet at in one week using the same method we are using now" the unkown prophet tells Squall in Squalls head. "Fine ok, Id best get back to my group now" Squall gets up and walks back to Rinoa. When Rinoa sees Squall she is surprised "How did you change back?" Rinoa asks. Squall explains aboute gaining Rasputins powers and the message he received. After Squall fineshes explaining Rinoa is looking at Squall dreamily "Rinoa whats wrong?" Squall asks "Nothing its, just that youre more like me so I love you even more than before" Rinoa responds in a dreamy voice. Squall is surpised and then closes his eyes, a second later he looks and sounds like Rinoa "Im really like you now, Do you love me better than before?" Rinoa is shocked at what Squall has done "How did you do that? I cant become other people. Wait a minuite stop being me I dont feel so special if your me" Squall changes back to normal and answears Rinoas questions "The prophet guy told me how plus I have two types of power, and finaly youre breasts feel nice" Rinoa playfully attacks squall. Seifer is now feeling a little jealouse and Zell thinks its a laugh "Squall can you be headmaster Cid and tell us off" Zell said jokingly. Pretty soon Squall is Cid and is telling Zell off for his daft idea until Quistis interupts "Squall we need to tell Cid aboute all this as soon as we can, plus you have to promise you wont take advantage over any of the students" Squall nodded "Yea dont want them scared of me, Well lets head back to Esthar and tell my dad what happend. The party head back to Esthar with Squall and Rinoa kissing more and Irvine doing the same With Selphie. Will is pretty dissapointed that none of the technology worked so hes sulking with Quistis trying to cheer him up. Zell has really fallen for Joeanne and hes chatting her up hoping for a date which she rejects. Seifer is just quiet occasionaly teasing Zell. Back in the presisential palace at Esthar the party is explaining everything that happend to Laguna who thanks them all for getting rid of the dragon. Laguna is Surprised when Squall tells him his powers and shocked when he turns into Kiros and back "wow thats some power" Laguna says in amazement "Yea but it takes a lot of energy to do each change, im exausted" Laguna talks to will, seeing how well the gadgets worked "well they sucked, dident work a bit" Will says as he rips of the useless gadgets "Im going to join garden and fight with you guys if you dont mind" The party says yes theay want will to come "Can I stay with you guys too" Joeanne asked. The party says sure again exept for zell who is feeling bitter that she wont go out with him. "well its time to head back and inform Cid of our status" Quistis says in her buisness tone. The party leave the palace and baord the Ragnarock. On the flight back Zell thought aboute why Joeanne said no untill finaly he could bear it no more "Joe why wont you go out with me" Zell asked finally "I hardly know you, You seem like a nice guy. Maybe in a few weeks ok." Zell accepts the answear and feels at ease. Rinoa and squall practice with their powers making things float around the ship untill seifer lost it and started shouting at them because the stuff kept wobbling around and hitting him on the head, This is squalls doing. Hes not bad hes just teasing Seifer. After a while Irvine has a idea so he and Selphie start floating around the ship having fun and giving Squall some practise. Will has abandoned the technical gizmos and hes now having fun watching the landscape whizz by. Finaly they get back to garden and report to Cid who is surpised at Squalls new powers. Cid forebids Squall to assume the shape of anybody in garden. Will is accepted into garden and he has passed his seed exam which he took straight away along with Seifer. "Well done everybody im very proud of what you have done. Its now time to relax. Squall and Rinoa go to the secret place in the training centre. "Rinoa what was it you wanted to tell me before" Rinoa looks up into Squalls deep blue eyes and whispers it in his ear. Squall is surprised then a grin creeps over his face "Thats great news. You should have told me before then I would have got a present" Squall says feeling very, very happy. Selphie and Irvine walk around the Quad together talking aboute variouse stuff. "Selph im going to leave fow a while. Im still officialy assighnd to Galbadia garden so I have to go back and get transferred. Ill be back soon I promise" Irvine tells selphie feeling pretty down "I understand Irvy, I'll miss you and if you dont come back i'll go to Galbadia and drag you back" Selphie tells Irvine feeling Pretty sad. Zell has finaly managed to get a date with Joeanne, who know how far it will go. Quistis has got her teachers license back so shes going to be pretty busy. Selphie finaly decides to visit Trabia garden. Squall and Rinoa have boarded the Ragnarock and have flown to their special place next to Edea's house. Their they train to use their powers for a time when they will need them which will come soon and will be more dangerouse and exciting than Rasputin. Squall waits anxiously for a message from the prophet he spoke to in his mind wondering what he could learn aboute his powers. End of part 1 ------------- Hope you like it I know it probebly sucks but it isent bad for me. Ive nevr even typed this much text before and this is my first attempt at a fanfic.
