I was just about to finish them off" Hikari sobbed. "Oh stop your whining, you're a sorceress not a cry baby." started the woman "Besides Astral Projection is very unstable. If you had stayed out there any longer your physical body might collapse and then your spirit would wither away. Besides how many times have I told you not to use elemental magic during an astral projection. Anyway your strength is needed here. We must start building the crystal tower. You and Sorceress Quistiria will scout this miserable continent and find a suitable source of energy to build on." said the sorceress. "Quistiria? Do I have to go with her? Can't I go with Sorceress Maya? Hikari whined. "NO!" the woman snapped "she only has just joined our cause. She does not have a lot of power but she is instrumental in destroying the SeeDs of this realm." the woman said calmly. "Ok............great Sorceress....Lionessa" said Hikari "Thats better Sorceress Hikari" said Lionessa A woman enters the room. Her hair which was once golden now is a pale and lifeless white. Her eyes were blue but it was a darker shade of blue. Her white gown flowed down her body and on her hack was a large black ribbon tied in a bow and on her chest a black star. "Ah Quistiria, are you ready to scout this continent with Hikari?" Quistiria said nothing. She just smiled evilly. "Eliza what do we do" Aiko whined as she held Lyle in her hands. He was still unconcious. "I......I don't know we have to retreat." Eliza said "Uhh I don't think that's a good idea" Eliza said as she looked outside at the horde of monsters trying to break in. "Uhhh......uhh" Lyle mumbled as he became concious. "Lyle! You're awake! Finally!" Aiko shouted. ".......Yeah....never attack a sorceress head on EVER!" said Eliza. "Ok I get the hint. What do we do about fiery breath here." said Lyle "Well we have no choice we must attack!" said Aiko "What the?........." Eliza said as she saw the dragon rearing it's head back. "ELIZA GET OUT OF THE WAY IT'S GONNA USE IT'S FIRE BREATH!!!!!!" Lyle shouted "Uhh...." Eliza choked as the flames headed towards her. Eliza closed her eyes was she thought she would feel the singe of an angry dragon's breath but when she opened her eyes she was alright. Not a scratch or burn on her body. She looked at the dragon. It was writhing in pain, an arrow was embedded into it's torso. She looked around her. Nothing. She only managed to see a shadow disappear into the air. "What the hell?" Eliza said puzzled. Then she saw the dragon. Now was her chance. She held her gunblade, concentrating. The flow of energy in her was bubbling. Her hands were shaking. Another force was taking over her body. It was like an unknown force was taking over her thoughts, her moves, her breaths. Then suddenly without warning she raised her gunblade above her head and in her mind words waiting to be said were swirling in her mind then it became clear. "LION AURA BLAST!!!!" Her gunblade began to glow a strange hue of gold. Powerful beams of light emtted from the gunblade and in one motion pointed her weapon at the dragon and charging with energy a powerful blast emitted from the gunblade shooting right through the dragon. In a flash of light the dragon disappeared and Eliza was exhausted, panting and puffing. What was it that she had just done? Aiko fainted from shock and so did Lyle (they thought Eliza was going to die). Eliza looked outside. Finally the Trabia and Galbadian reinforcements arrived and were taking care of the monsters outside. Eliza lay down to rest. "Finally some peace" she thought as she dozed off. Eliza woke up dazed and delirious. She sat up on her bed and found she was in the infirmary. Her head hurt. She looked around her and saw an anxious Aiko beside her. "Oh Eliza I was soo worried. What happened? Lyle and I fainted. We thought you were dead." "I don't know what happened." Eliza lied "I was unconcious too. I thought I was dead but now I'm alive. You tell me what happened." Eliza said "Well the Trabia soldiers found us lying on the ground and they carried us out back to our garden and when I woke up there was this really cute soldier beside my bed and he was asking if I was alright. I said yes and OH my GOD he was cute and handsome and maybe I'll marry him..............." Aiko was starting to go into ditzy mode again and Eliza laid herself back as she listened to Aiko go on about her guy. When Aiko finally finished she said "Oh yeah ..uh Eliza your dad wants to see you." After that she walked off. Her swinging to the rhythm of a song Aiko was humming. Eliza forced herself up from her bed and found her gunblade on the bedside table. She took it and sheathed it to her side. She began walking out when Dr Makoto came in. "Eliza! You must rest!" she said. "I know but I have to report to father." Eliza said. "Ok but no training for a few days and hand a note to your instructor so that he will excuse you from your physical education class........." she said "Ok.." Eliza said as she took the note and walked away. On the bridge Squall and Shand were having a conversation about the mission at Esthar. "Has the president paid for our help?"asked Shand. "Yes he has made a transaction of 225 000 gil. I have split the money between Galbadia and Trabia Garden so that leaves us 75 000 gil." Squall said dismally "That is not a lot......maybe we shouldn't have asked for Trabia or Galbadia's help..." "Maybe but we no longer have the strength of an army. Less and less people are taking the SeeD exams and we are at the moment in a financial crisis." Squall sighed "I don't think I can even fund the festival this year........" Squall sat down on a chair looking down at the floor. "But I have some more disturbing news Squall" Shand said hesitantly. "What is it?" Squall sighed. "Well I sensed great amounts of energy coming from the Presidential Palace......." Shand said "So. It could have been the magic Lyle and Aiko were using......"Squall said. "I know but it was much stronger than the spells Lyle and Aiko were using..........I felt it reached the point of sorcery." Shand said. "What?" Squall got up from his seat. "Do you think......." Squall started "Maybe........maybe not" Shand started stroking his beard. At that point Eliza came up the elevator and Shand quickly left. "How do you feel Eliza? Are you better?" Squall asked. "Yes I'm fine. I just can't have training or Physical Education for a week or so." Eliza replied. "Any way here is my report for the mission." Eliza explained what happened at the Presidential Palace and about the Sorceress who masterminded it. Squall was almost in relief when Eliza said there was a Sorceress at the Presidential Palace. After the report Eliza went off and headed to the quad for a lesson with her teacher. When she reached the quad the class was there dressed in the garden's sports uniforms. Her teacher, Instructor Yuy , looked at the notes Lyle, Aiko and Eliza presented to her and frowned. "How are you going to keep up with exercise if you are out for the week...............Ok you are dismissed......for now." the instructor sighed. Aiko jumped in the air "YIPPEEE!!" she shouted in excitement. Lyle was relieved. He would escape the jaws of Instructor Yuy for a week. Eliza remained emotionless. She just stared at the instructor. Lyle found this disturbing. The three cheerful SeeDs (except maybe for Eliza) walked out of the quad with a group of envious students watching them. "YAY!! no Class with Instructor Yuy!......Come on Ellie, be more cheerful!" "What's there to be cheerful about? We miss out on training for a week. I'm off to the library to study." Eliza said. "What? Come on Ellie. Come shopping with me. I heard Esthar has some great fashions this year....." Aiko persuaded. "No......I don't feel like it." Eliza took off her jacket and T-shirt and undid her hair tie. She took off the necklace her mother gave her from her neck and put it in the jewellery box her Uncle Zell made for her and sighed. She took off her shorts and boots. She was now in her bra and panties. She opened her cupboard and rummaged through and managed to find a black, sleeveless top and blue jeans. "You know, you are in desperate need of a fashion update Ellie........." Aiko teased "HEY what are you guys gonna do for the rest of the day?" Lyle barged in. Eliza shocked and angry covered herself with her hands. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE......YOU......YOU PERVERT!!!!! GET OUT, GET OUT NOW!!!!!!" Eliza and Aiko screamed Lyle covered his eyes and apoligized all the way to the door. His cheeks were red and flushed. When he got out of the room a crowd of girls were waiting for him. "YOU PERVERT!!!! HOW DARE YOU ENTER A GIRLS ROOM WHILE SHE'S GETTING CHANGED." they all screamed at him. "uhh uhhhh" Lyle could only stutter. All of the girls slapped Lyle as he tried to apoligize and explain himself. When the crowd left Aiko came out in a beautiful dress, looked at him and slapped him. Eliza came out of her room red with anger. "How dare you!" she said and hit kicked in the.......um........stomach. He was all red and sore from slapping and being hit in the stomach. He doubled in pain and was red all over. Eliza sighed "Come on.......let me.......help you." she offered Lyle groaned as he got up and Eliza helped him into her room. He sat down as Eliza put an ice pack on his head. "Look Eliza I was really sorry about that I should have knocked......." Lyle apologized Eliza sighed "Thats......ok.......I'm sorry I screamed.........." "Ok thank you for understanding......" Lyle said. For a moment there was an awkward silence. "Hey whats that?" Lyle asked as he took a nice looking box. "Don't touch that!" Eliza snapped as she snatched the box from him. "Ok.........then what's this?" Lyle said as he picked up a pile of papers. "Umm.....uhhh....it's a song I wrote for the upcoming Festival........." "Really? Well I know nothing about music but it looks good..." he complimented. "umm thanks.......listen I'd better go now.....maybe you should visit the infirmary." Eliza suggested. "Hey! do you think you can play me this song? I can write lyrics!" Lyle offered. "Umm maybe not....it's sort of a thing i want to do on my own. I got to go now so........take care." said Eliza "Ok then" said Lyle. Eliza left the dormitory and headed towards the library where she studied for hours. She studied for so long that she fell asleep. She dreamed a disturbing and twisted dream. She was walking along a beach, along the sea. The warm wind blowing on her face as she saw a figure in the distance. She ran towards the shadow. She got closer and closer yet she was so far away. The shadow started calling her. The shadow had a surprisingly familiar voice. One she has heard throughout her childhood. Then the scene changed and she stopped running. Lightning struck and thunder crashed she was in a dark place. She felt she was inside the garden and she looked around it looked like the entrance. She looked around and caught a glimpse of something on the floor in the dark. She it examined more closely......it......was..........blood. She gasped looking ahead she saw a body. It was someone in a SeeD uniform. The lights came on and she saw the figure of a teenage girl no older than 16. She had long flowing black hair and a look of innocence on her face she turned around and walked away. The scene changed again. This time it became even darker. A crystal tower rose towards sky and emanated a strong aura. She looked around and there she saw a woman. A so familiar woman. She turned around revealing her face. Eliza gasped again. She woman raised her hand and energy began to glow and gather into a ball. Eliza, grasped in fright could not move. The energy ball grew in sixe and when it reached it's peak it was unleashed on Eliza. Eliza screamed and she woke up choking and sweating. She was gasping for air. Luckily the library was empty and when Eliza finally caught her breath she gasped "Mother?" * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Well thats episode 4 folks and i hope you all liked it and watch out for the next episode coming very soon (hopefully) Any so send ANY comments/suggestions please please please.
