Final Fantasy VIII The wedding adventures First a wee note, this is the first fan fiction I have ever wrote so I hope all of you like the story. Oh and I like to give some of the credit to my best friend Chris Thomson who helped me. ............................................................................................... It has been three years after the defeat of Ultimecia. Many things have happened over that time but none will compeer to what happens in this adventure. Squall Leonhart is a young member of Balamb Gardens elite mercenary group called SeeD. He has long down flowing black hair, two blue eyes and a diagonal scar on his forehead. Usually he is in the Gardens training centre but today he is lying on his bed looking troubled. Suddenly a tall young boy burst into the room. The boy has short blond hair with the fringe up in a long spike. "Zell don't you ever knock?" Squall asked. "Sorry man, I just came to see what's wrong." Zell answered "Cause you didn't come to today's practise, so I thought that you were sick or something." "It's none of your business!" "Man what is with your attitude, you're acting like your old self." Zell of course was referring to what Squall was like before he met Rinoa three years ago. Rinoa was a young teenage girl with long black hair with brown eyes. She was Squall's first girlfriend and his only one; he put his life on the line many times to save her. "I just have a lot on my mind right now." Squall replied. "Well? Start talking Squall, tell me about it." Zell request, "Ok, well you know that me and Rinoa have been going out for a while and I think that it's about time we ...er ... you know ... er..." "What you want to sleep with her?" Zell interrupted "NO! ...I mean yes ... I mean that's not what I'm talking about!" Squall yelled, "I was going to say is that I am going ask Rinoa to marry me." A sudden expression of shock filled Zell's face as he steps backwards and shouts "WHAAAT, you're going to marry Rinoa!" "Sssssshh" Squall says as he puts his hand over Zell's mouth. Squall then goes and shuts the door. "I haven't told anyone else let," Squall continued "I was going to tell you, Quistis, Selphie, Seifer and Irvine after I had the ring." "So why did you tell me now?" Zell asked. "Cause, when ever you know something is wrong you don't shut up until I'd tell you." Squall said with a smug look on his face. He then walks over to his gunblade, the Lionheart, and picks it up. "I'm going to the SeeD section in the training centre, want to come?" Squall said as he put the Lionheart in it holster. The SeeD section of the training centre was made shortly after Ultimecia's death; it is part of the centre that is only for SeeD's because of the extremely strong monsters. "Why are you going there?" Zell responded "So that I can get the items for Rinoa's ring." He said grinning. "Why do I have a feeling this is going to be trouble?" Zell whispers to himself. An hour later Squall and Zell, who looks like he fought a lawnmower and lost, are walking through the training centre. "Ok, so we've got the steel pipes, maloborro tentacles and adamantine and ..." Squall started "And a few broking ribs and a couple of bruises." Zell said as he rubbed his sides. "Thanks again for distracting the maloborro while I mugged it," Squall giggled "but was it really necessary to do that funny dance." "For your information I wasn't dancing, the maloborro confused me." Zell sighed as he looked at the list. "Now all we need is a star fragment from an iron giant." "Oh man that's going to take ages to get," Zell cried "I don't know how long I can last against one of them." "Don't worry about it; all we have to do is beat a few hundred of them." Squall said "WHHHAAATTT! A HUNDRED IRON GIANTS" Zell screamed Suddenly a blue dragon jumps out and attacks Zell. Squall pulls out his Lionheart and gets ready to fight it when Zell says "Squall go find an iron giant, I'll handle this basterd." Squall then turns around and runs as Zell pulls on his gloves, "Ok, bluey let's tango," He roars while he runs towards it "MY FINAL HEAVEN!" Zell then runs past the blue dragon and he dashes around the globe several times and then he runs though the dragon and destroys it. He then runs down the path Squall went. After awhile he runs into Squall. "Where's the iron giant?" Zell asks Squall then points up; Zell looks up and sees an iron giant standing over them. "Ready?" Squall says as he looks over to Zell "You bet cha." Zell answered while Squall lifts up his Lionheart. Squall then jumps up into the air and starts attacking the giant with diagonal slashes, but they have no effect on it and the giant grabs Squall and slams him to the ground. Zell then punches it in the shin only to have it kick him. "Squall this isn't working." Zell yells "Don't worry I'll take it out, RENZOKUKEN!" Squall assaults the giant with several different slashes unfortunately it blocks every single last one. "LIONHEART!" A whirl of wind appears around Squall as he runs towards the giant, he then slashes it into the air and he slashes it many times, he lifts his gunblade and a light appears on the end of the blade and he diagonally cut right through it with explosive results and it falls to the ground. "That should be it ... WHA...?" Squall shouts as the iron giant miraculously stands up. The giant lifts it large arm and knocks Squall into the air. Squall lies on his back and tilts his head towards Zell. "Looks like it's the end Zell, it's been nice knowing you?" Squall says with a smile but deep down he was sorry that it was going to end this. After defeating Ultimecia, the most powerful being on earth, he was going to die like this. "Nobody's going to die today!" a mysterious voice bellows. Suddenly the iron giant roars in pain and begins to fall. Squall and Zell then get up and start to run from the falling giant; unfortunately Zell was too slow and disappeared under the giant's body. Squall turns to look at the iron giant and notices the pike sticking out of its neck. Then a tall muscular man with short brown hair walks onto the giants back and pulls the pike out of its neck. He then searches its body and he picks up a star fragment and looks over to Squall. "Today must be my lucky day," the man says as he looks at the star fragment he then looks back up to Squall "Hi my name is Chris." "Yes and my name is ..." Squall starts but was interrupted by Chris, "I know who you are, you're Squall Leonhart one of the six SeeDs who defeated the great Ultimecia." "Yes and this is one of the others Zell ... Zell?" Squall looked around trying to see where Zell was. "Over here." Shouted a voice from beneath them, both Chris and Squall looked down to see the top half of Zell sticking out from underneath the iron giant. "Now then... if you're finished with the introductions... get me out of here!" Zell screams. Chris then puts his hands under the giant and lifts it off the ground as Squall pulls Zell from underneath it. Zell groans as he struggles to stand up, Squall then turns to Chris. "Chris, how much would you sell that star fragment for?" Squall says as he reaches into his back pocket, "I am willing to pay anything." Chris stares at Squall and grins. "How about this, I'll give you the star fragment if you fight me." "But why?" Squall asks "I've always wanted to fight you ever since Instructor Qustis told me about you." He answers "You know Qustis?" questions Zell. "Of course, she's the one who passed me on the SeeD test a year ago." Chris replies "Well shall we," Chris then spins his pike above his head and then holds it under his arm. "Are you ready?" "Any day." Squall says as he runs towards Chris and goes to slash him down the middle. Chris suddenly blokes with the blade of his pike, he then kicks Squall and Squall stumbles a few paces backwards. Squall then casts Aura on himself and jumps into the air. "Here's something I cooked up special for you bonapatit, FULL MOON SLASH." Squall shouts. He swings his Lionheart around and blades of light come out of the end of it. He then points his gunblade towards the sky then slowly moves it in a big circle. Squall places the handle on his chest and thrusts the gunblade forward into the circle and a big beam of light is fired from the circle and hits Chris. "The victor!" Squall shouts as he lands on the ground "Not quite!" Zell says, pointing towards Chris who barely has a scratch on him. "That was a nice warm up, now down to business." Chris says smiling fiercely. "Aaaaaaahhhhh," Squall shouts as he lifts his hand towards Chris. "FIRE BALL!" Huge fire balls come out of Squall's hand as Chris lifts his pike in front of himself and he started spinning it. When the fire balls came in contact with the pike they were deflected and they went towards Zell's feet and Zell starts jumping up and down to dodge them. "Hey Squall watch where you're aiming." He shouts. A red light appears around Chris as he raises his pike. "Are you ready to feel the power of my limit break?" He shouts.
