AHEAD ON OUR WAY Part 2

Hi folks, I’m back! In this new part I included a bit of interaction at the end, it is more like 
a vote. I hope you like my fanfic, I know it isn’t the best, but the last one I tried to write 
was the dullest of all fanfics in history. I hope you enjoy your reading.

Chapter 2: The play
“Oooooooohhh my goodness… the people is furious”  exclaimed Ruby.
“And it’s our fault” Added Blank.
“Don’t worry, guys, they will enjoy it so much that it will be worth waiting…” Said Zidane 
while rising the curtains.
The people were staring at Baku who was in Lindblum already…
“Ladies and gentlemen, today’s performance is a story takes place long, long ago… Our 
heroine, Princess Cornelia, is thorn from her lover, Blank…” He explained as the people 
started to calm down and listen. She attempts to flee the castle just to be found by her 
father, King Leo, who closed her up in the highest tower of the castle.” He continued “Her 
royal majesty, princess Garnet, Lady Beatrix and Lord Lechuga, honorable nobles from 
Treno and our rooftop viewers, Tantalus proudly presents: I Want to be Your Canary III.”
Baku exits the stage and comes back dressed as a king, Blank also comes but from the 
opposite side of the stage.
“Oh… if it isn’t that scoundrel, Blank” Baku (the king) said. “What are thou doing here? 
Don’t thee know that I clos’d thy love in the highest tower so she couldn’t see ye… It is not 
good for her to have such a bad influence like thee…”
“Thou hast gone too far, this is my moment of vengeance, for my parents and my beloved 
Cornelia!” Shouted Blank as he jumped to hit Baku in his face with a broadsword.
The king called the kingdom guards to hold him off, and then the stage fades to illuminate 
another in which Zidane, Marcus and Cinna are standing.
“Bereft of father, bereft of mother, Blank, thou hath lost even thy love…” Said Cinna.
“Fortune hath escap’d thee. For what end shalt thou live?…” Said Marcus
“Lets go, for the sake of our friend, let’s bury our steal in the heart of that wretched King 
Leo!” Exclaimed Zidane as he stood up, holding his sword high up. He lights went back at 
the first stage and Blank was pretty weak, hardy standing.
“Friend, thou should hath call’d for us” Said Cinna.
Blank didn’t say anything for a while.
“(Guys… I forgot my lines!)”
“(What!? It doesn’t matter, just improvise!)” Zidane said. After that everyone made the 
“Tantalus salute” and kept acting.
“It’s good to hath thee with me.” Said Blank at once.
“What are they doing!!!???” Shouted Ruby from behind the stage… fortunately the people 
didn’t hear it.
“Calm down Ruby, I know they will do it alright.” Beatrix said. Ruby stared at her without 
saying anything.
“Perhaps they have a better idea…” Added Steiner. Ruby looked at him really angrily, like 
she was gonna eat him or something “…O-o-or perhaps not…”
Zidane used Medeo against the four guards, a huge meteor came down from the ceiling, 
crashing into the floor where the others were, although it didn’t do any damage, it surprised 
everyone. Cinna used Pyro, again didn’t do any damage but surprised the people. And 
Blank used Poly with the same result. One of the guards attacked Cinna, who fell. Blank 
attacked two guards and they also fell, Marcus and Zidane killed the other two.
“Get ready King Leo, as thou shall not live for much longer.”
“Blank! No, wait! Please… I still love my father…” Exclaimed Ruby (Cornelia) as she 
came down from the tower.
“How did thou escape? Please Cornelia, trouble me no more, return with me to the castle, 
you shall marry none other than Prince Schneider.” Affirmed King Leo.
“Nay father, I shan’t return!”
King Leo grabs Cornelia and runs away out of the stage, followed by Blank, Zidane tries to 
follow them but is suddenly stopped by Marcus.
“Stop right there…”
Zidane did as if he was surprised.
“Out of my way, Marcus.” Zidane said.
“Don’t you understand? If Prince Schneider were to marry Princess Cornelia, peace would 
reign in both their kingdoms.” Explained Marcus.
“’Tis foolishness… if all were so easy, why, none would suffer in this world”
“Tell me, as I, too, hast lost a brother to that fiend. But we can stop war!”
“Don’t count on me if that means we have to stop love!”
Marcus got in a fighting stance as he spoke.
“How shall you help thy friend anyway?” Asked Marcus
“I shall make King Leo stop this nonsense, even if it hast to be by brute force!” Shouted 
Zidane.
“Do as you will… but if you intend to fight… thou shall have to get past me first!
“(Just do as I say… not as I do…)” Said Marcus in a low voice only Zidane could hear.
“(Alrighty!)”
The two of them started to swing their swords very close to each other, doing as if they 
were fighting to death. After that scene, of a hundred nobles, 99 were impressed, queen 
Garnet was quite impressed.
Then, everyone went out of the stage so that the scenery could change, the curtains fell and 
the crew started to change everything, making it look like the docks of the kingdom.
“Y’all did pretty good, cowboys!” Ruby said.
“He he he, thanks, Ruby…” Zidane said.
“Be prepared, this is the part when everyone starts to cry…” Said Blank.
“We are ready!” Shouted a crew member from the distance.
“Oh… and Blank, do you remember your lines?” Asked Ruby.
“ummmmm… well… Y-Yeah, don’t worry!” Said Blank.
Ruby didn’t say anything, she just looked at him and when he went out of the room she 
sighed “I hate you Blank! But I love you soooooooo much!”
“Did you just say something?” Asked Zidane, who still hadn’t left the room.
“N-n-n-not at all!!! What are you doing!? Go in and keep doing your job!!!” Shouted Ruby.
Back in the stage, King Leo left Cornelia because Blank hit him, and then, the others 
appeared.
“Father… I… love… Blank…” Whispered Cornelia after King Leo hit her in her cheek.
“Stop it!!! Thou don’t know how to treat my prithee!” Shouted Blank as he drew his sword 
and was about to bury it in King Leo’s chest.
“Blank… Don’t do it…!” Begged Ruby.
“Not kill this bastard thou sayest?” Said Blank “I can’t say no to my prithee’s beg… but 
thou King Leo… I don’t want thee to interfere between me and my love anymore!”
“Thou say thou are going to end with my life?” Asked King Leo “I won’t allow thee!” He 
pulled out a bow and shot an arrow to Cornelia, who fell down to the floor and agonizing 
she said “B-Blank… prithee… we are going to escape together, aren’t… we?”
“No… Cornelia… Thou can not die on me!!!” Blank shouted as the people watching the 
show started to cry. Blank ran at Cornelia, he grabbed her in his arms and kissed her in the 
mouth with so much passion, so much love, that everyone was touched by that scene.
“Blank…” Whispered Ruby “This wasn’t in the script…”
“I know…” Replied Blank “Now do as if you died…”
Cornelia’s face went down and looked like she died, then Blank took his sword and held it 
in his stomach.
“Oh cruel fate! Thou hast robbed me of all I treasure!” Exclaimed Blank, then he 
committed suicide.
Zidane went to check on him, and after that, he killed King Leo, then he crawled and said 
“That, at least, will bring peace to his soul…” He looked at the night sky as the curtains 
fell.

Chapter 3: The Party
“Oh, you did it great! I’m soooooooo proud of you cowboys!” Exclaimed Ruby.
“It was the best play I’ve ever seen in my whole life!” Said a distant voice that came from 
the entrance of the Prima Vista II.
“Doctor Tot!” Said Dagger in excitement
“Greetings princess… Lord Lechuga, lady Beatrix, I haven’t seen you since your 
marriage… I see everyone is here. Now that we are all together, why don’t we make a party 
of congratulations for the great success of “I Want to be Your Canary III”.” Said Doctor 
Tot.
“Sounds good to me!” Said Zidane with a happy voice.
“Party? Lots of yummie-yummies!” Shouted Quenj.
“You’re just like your master, Quenj” Said Freya with a tired voice.
“Shall we go to Treno then?” Recommended Doctor Tot.
“We had better go back to the castle, dear.” Said Cid to Hilda.
“You are not joining us, regent?” Asked Zidane.
“I am quite worried about the increase of the monsters in the Mist and Outer continents, 
sometimes the flying monsters attack our airships, it is really dangerous and we need to 
take care of the repairs of Lindblum.” Cid explained
“I see, well… I’ll see you when I see you, regent” Said Zidane.
“(How about never?)” Whispered Cid.
“Did you just say something, regent?” Asked Freya.
“No… Farewell everyone” He said as the airship took off and reached the clouds.

In Treno, everyone helped Doctor Tot to buy and prepare things and to rent a party hall.
When everything was ready the party started, the music and the food were very good and 
everyone had a lot of fun and drank a lot of wine and beer, except Eiko and Vivi that only 
drank apple juice.
“Will you dance with me, Steiner?” Asked Beatrix.
“Yes my darling.” Answered him.
They danced a love song called Love Sonata. They hugged and after they ere finished 
dancing they kissed under the moonlight outside the building.
Eiko left the party as she saw Dagger and Zidane dancing, she was so jealous and hurt that 
she literally smashed the door in her way out.
“Guy… I don’t want to interrupt or anything but Eiko has just…” Started Vivi
“Oh, come on man! Don’t you see I’m busy right now…” Said Zidane as he kept dancing 
and turned his back to Vivi, who went out to search for Eiko after that embarrassing 
moment. He found her sitting near the water outside the woman who once wanted to get all 
the Stellazzio.
“Vivi?” Said Eiko in tears.
“Do you need some company?” Asked Vivi as he sat down beside her.
“Do you like Zidane that much?” Asked Vivi as he looked at the moon.
“What do you (sniff) mean?” Said Eiko crying.
“It’s just that he is kind of…” Started Vivi, but didn’t say anything because he knew he was 
saying too much.
“Kind of what? Spit it out already!” Shouted Eiko.
“Kind of… big” Said Vivi in a soft voice.
“What!? I can’t believe you said that! Dammit!” Shouted Eiko.
Then a Moogles went to where Vivi and Eiko where and said “Eiko, this is terrible! 
Mogrich has just told me Alexandria is under attack by Burmecia and Cleyra!” Cried the 
moogle.
“What!? We have to tell Dagger about this!” Shouted Eiko.
Vivi and Eiko went back to the Party Hall where Zidane and Dagger were still dancing.
“Dagger, Alexandria is being attacked!!!” Shouted Eiko
“Are you kidding!?” Asked Dagger scared
“She is right, a moogle from Treno told Chimomo and he told her.” Explained Vivi
“We have to protect the people, Steiner, Beatrix I need you to come with me right away.” 
Said Dagger.

Chapter III: The Great War
Everyone got inside Prima Vista II and headed for Alexandria, the fire could be seen just as 
the airship passed by the mountains surrounding the Alexandrian territory. The smoke 
made a big, gray cloud, it looked like a bomb had blown in the town and the castle… Near 
the river, they could see tents and some Burmecian and Cleyran structures to lodge the 
soldiers who attacked the beautiful kingdom.
“This is terrible… just when the people had started to restart their lives…” Said Freya “I 
don’t understand why Cleyra and Burmecia are attacking…”
Dagger was shocked and Zidane was trying to say something to make her feel better, 
however, he didn’t find the words.
“It looks like our troops are not strong enough to hold them…” Said Betrix
“My Pluto Knights are very few… I never thought this would happen, if I had known, I 
would have trained more soldiers…” Steiner sighed.
“We should land and help in any way we can…” Said Amarant.
“My darling… you are such a good person…” Exclaimed Lani.
“Dagger… I just can’t fight against Burmecia… they mean too much for me, I’m really 
sorry.” Freya said
“I understand, it will be better if you go back to Burmecia and ask what is happening.” 
Dagger said.
“Alright… I’m sure this is just a misunderstanding.” Answered Freya.
“Let’s make the teams!” Recommended Zidane “we will divide into three, one is going to 
Burmecia, the other to Cleyra and the last one will be going to Alexandria and help the 
people and stop this nonsense!”

And that is the end of part II, I still haven’t decided who is going to be in each group, so if 
you have any ideas just E-mail me, the option that more people choose will be the one I 
will write, just remember that Freya mustn’t go to Alexandria and Dagger must go to 
Alexandria. For the other groups, I will allow you to decide, if there are not many E-mails, 
I will decide it myself, you have time until NOVEMBER 6, then I will start writing part III, 
please don’t send me any E-mails regarding that subject after the deadline. For those who 
will E-mail for the vote, please include in the subject: “Who will be going where”, this will 
make it much easier for me.
