However this is it, I hope you like it… kupo! Chapter XI: A Piece of Castle Both the Prima Vista II and Hilda Garde IV landed near Alexandria’s entrance. As Amarant went out of the airship, he thought about Lani as he walked to the city, Vivi was beside him silent as ever and Freya behind, so hurt that she could hardly walk… From the other airship Quenj came out in a rush and caught a frog that was jumping in a pool, he tried to eat it but the frog became golden and jumped out of his hands. For the surprise of everyone, the frog started to talk. “Were you gonna eat me, you scumbag!!!!?? How dare you try to eat a member of the royal family!? You will pay for that, I’ll be sure you don’t live much longer!!!!” Shouted the frog as it jumped to Quenj face and started to hit it with all the strength a frog can have, which, as far as I know, is not much. “Aaaaaaaaaaargh!!!! Are you making fun of me!? I know it hurts you, you are just hiding it, aren’t you!!!?” Shouted the frog angrily. “Master Quina, this golden frog strange, is OK if I take it? I no eat it or anything” Said Quenj. “Take it, Quenj, “frogs are key to growth”, Master Quale say.” Quina answered “Hey you bimbos! We must hurry, I can’t see the castle… and I’m sure it was there before we came!” Shouted Eiko “Hey Amarant, Freya, Vivi… Where is Lani? Why do you look so…?” “Shut up brat! You don’t understand anything!” Shouted Amarant angrily. There was a silence while they headed to the ruins of the castle, when they were close enough to see there really was no castle, they ran just to meet everyone in the floor, unconscious. “What in the world has happened here!?” Asked Eiko looking at Zidane, who couldn’t answer as he was unconscious. “Let’s take them to an inn…” Suggested Amarant. Chapter XII: Forgotten Memory in Storm “What do you mean you have no more rooms!!!? We have four wounded people and you can’t give them a bed to rest!!!!?” Shouted Eiko “I’m really sorry but the rooms are all reserved…” The inn keeper explained. “Wait up, let’s do something” Hippaul said as he came into the inn “There are guests tonight in room 7 right? They are coming at 10 o’clock… so I guess it is OK if we give them the room now, just if they go out before 8. Of course we will charge you only 30% of the usual price and you will get the best room for the price of the cheapest one, what do you say?” “You are a great businessman, Hippaul… you should take care of the inn right now…” The inn keeper said as he looked at him proudly. The party walked upstairs to their room, it was very pleasant and warm, they left the injured people in some beds and sat down in a table near there. “So… What did you find?” Asked Amarant “Well… it looks like there is nothing in Cleyra, everyone is gone and we couldn’t talk to anybody. We had to fight a huge monster and we were almost goners” Said Eiko “We just know that the king of Burmecia died, the same for Lani… and Sir Fratley has… become bad… so we had to petrify him… he was the one who killed Lani and attacked us…” Freya said as she stared at Amarant with a sad expression on her face. “What a waste… How do you feel about that?” Asked Eiko “It was such a shock… still… I have the hope that we will cure him and make him be good again, I’m sure there must be a good reason for him to be like this…” Freya said as she broke in tears. “Ouch… what… What happened?” Asked Zidane as he got up from his bed and started walking to the table. He took a chair and grabbed his head. “What happened?” “When we got here we found you unconscious near the castle’s ruins, now I ask you, what happened?” Freya said. “It’s all very confusing… I’m not really sure, but… I think there’s a new evil force, the real Garnet… Princess Garnet, Sarah’s twin, appeared” Zidane explained “What!?” Everyone said in surprise. “I can’t believe it either… She came with Zero… the evil product of everyone’s hate… Why don’t we wait for Dagger and the others to wake up?” Suggested Zidane. The time passed and finally Steiner woke up, then Beatrix, but Dagger was still in her bed. More time passed and they had to go out of the inn, they left Dagger in a room in Hilda Garde IV, the started to turn black and the moons appeared. They slept very badly in the airship chairs. The following morning Dagger was the first to wake up, she went to the meeting room and saw everyone asleep. She slowly got out of the airship and walked through the plains to Alexandria. She sat in the entrance, thinking. “Yawn… Is Dagger awake?” Zidane asked to himself as he got up from his chair, everyone else was fast asleep. Zidane walked into Dagger’s room smiling, he saw that Dagger wasn’t in her bed so he started to look for her around the airship. He started to worry about her but he didn’t lose his head, he got out and went to Alexandria, Zidane was sure Dagger would be there. “So there you’re… I figured out you would come here…” Zidane said happily. “Do you… Do you know me…?” Dagger said confusedly “You are Dagger, my Dagger… aren’t you…?” Zidane said starting to get worried. “Dagger… I think some people called me that… do I know you?” Dagger said “You… You couldn’t have forgotten me! I’m Zidane!” Zidane said as he walked backwards sacred. “Zidane… I think… I think I once met a Zidane… he was a great person… I can hardly remember…” Dagger said “Dagger… please come with me… let’s go to the airship” Zidane said almost in tears. “I’m sorry, Zidane… I do know one thing… I really… loved… the Zidane I told you about… I can’t remember anything else, sorry.” Dagger said sadly. Chapter XIII: Lindblum Grand Castle Zidane and the others were in the airship, Zidane told the others about Dagger and they were very surprised, even Amarant seemed sad. “What do you think will happen now?” Eiko asked Zidane. “I guess it will all come back to her… in time that is…” Zidane answered “O… Open Up!!!” Shouted a voice from outside the airship. “Who’s that!?” Zidane asked as he drew his daggers. “I have… a message… from Artania… from Lindblum!” The strange voice said “Shall I open?” Cid asked. Zidane nodded and Cid opened the door a bit. “You are hurt!” Cid said “I’m going to die… but I had to deliver this… letter” The Lindblum messenger said as he gave the letter to Cid, then he fell and died. “He’s gone… what in the world could have happened?” Freya said “Let’s see the letter…” Cid said as he opened the letter, it was written in a black paper and with silver ink. Cid Fabool, This is minister Artania, regent, I need you here immediately, and if you can send reinforcements, it would be even better. The Cleyran and Burmecian armies are attacking Lindblum, our airship army does not seem to be enough to take them down… We need you as soon as possible Sincerely, Artania “I can’t believe it, we have to go to Lindblum right away, move out!” Shouted Cid The Hilda Garde took off and went so fast that almost everyone in the deck fell. They could see explosions in the castle and Dagger was very confused as she remembered seeing the castle but didn’t remember when. They landed the airship and Zidane, Dagger, Vivi, Steiner, Hilda and Cid got out, the others stayed there to take care of the airship and keep watch just in case anything happened. Zidane and the others rushed in Lindblum just to find everyone fighting. Some soldiers had entered in Trance and could use some powerful techniques. They went to the castle and went up to the upper level, even there, the battle was very fierce. “Regent… finally… you arrived… argh!” Artania said before falling down to the floor “I have a nasty wound and don’t have much time… Cleyra and Burmecia are attacking us because they are being controlled by some evil force… known as… Princess Garnet Till Alexandros… I think this is it… good bye regent…” “No… Uncle Artania…” Dagger said “You remembered…” Zidane said softly as he hugged her “I don’t know… the words came out of nowhere… I’ve never seen that man… neither this Cid or Hilda, I have a feeling that I have been here… But I can’t remember anything… sorry.” Dagger explained as she walked forward. “Zidane, I think someone is in the throne room…” Steiner said “Let’s go see… Cid, Hilda, stay back” Zidane said “Dagger, Vivi, Steiner, you come with me” Chapter XIV: The strongest Eidolon They entered the room and saw Garnet and Zero, Garnet was sitting on the throne and Zero was flattering her about her beauty and power. “So… we meet again… do you want me to summon them again?” Garnet said “She looks… like me? Don’t you think maybe she’s the one you are looking for, Zidane?” Dagger said “No! You… you made her lose her memories! You’ll pay for that!” Zidane shouted as he dashed to her with his daggers. Garnet easily evaded the attack by flying high atop everyone. “Ha! Hahahaha! You worthless scumbag! You’re no one for me… I could easily take you down with my magic… you just watch how I summon Crusader and kill you all! Hahahahahahahaha!” Garnet shouted and then she started to summon the strongest Eidolon, Crusader. “How dare you come here and try to attack the princess!? You think my sword will allow you to do such an ugly thing?” Zero shouted “Prepare to die in my hands!” Zero dashed with his sword and slashes Steiner, taking him down, he started to fight Zidane but Zidane could evade his attacks, then try to attack him… But Zero was also very fast and could evade his attacks as well, Vivi tried to use Flare but missed always, Dagger was shocked and could not do anything and Steiner was in the floor unable to stand up because Zero’s attack had taken him down. “Dagger! Please, use Full-life on Steiner, he must help me!” Zidane said “Full-life? What is that?” Asked Dagger confused “C’mon! You gotta help me! Use your magic, use Life at least, please, Dagger!” Shouted Zidane as he hardly evaded Zero’s slashes and tried to attack him. “I don… remember… any… magic!” Dagger said “…Fine, I’ll try!” “That’s it, concentrate!” Zidane said “L… Life!” Dagger shouted as wings appeared in Steiner, he got up and Dagger sued Curaga. “Thank you, miss Dagger… Where is that Zero guy, I’ll use my strongest attack…” Steiner said as he held his Ragnarok sword aiming Zero… “Shock!” He shouted. Zero fell down for the impact and his armor got broken, he got up hardly and laughed… “You are very strong… but you just can’t beat me! I’m too powerful!” “That’s what you think, huh!?” Shouted Garnet “You think you are very powerful and that I wouldn’t be able to kill you… Well… Let me tell you that you will go down with those twerps after I summon Crusader…” “Why are you taking so long? Last time you were much quicker, probably you are becoming weaker” Zero said “It’s not that… I was just giving you the chance to beat them… but I guess I’ll have to dirty my hands… with their blood” Garnet said as she started to shine and the ground started to shake… Crusader was summoned… Three knights appeared and when everything seemed to be lost… Dagger also shone, she was grabbing the stone she found after beating the monster in the castle. “I think it is an Eidolon stone… This Eidolon… I think I have seen it somewhere… OZMA, come forth!” Shouted Dagger as the ceiling blew and the multicolor ball dashed down, it launched energy beams and destroyed the three knights known as Crusader. Then it attacked Zero and Garnet, who fell to the floor. After that, it exploded and the castle was gone, Zidane, Steiner, Vivi, Dagger, Cid and Hilda were damaged, but not as much as they would be if Crusader had attacked them. Hilda Garde IV landed near them, Lindblum was totally destroyed, and only some houses remained. The party members who were in the airship carried the bodies of the ones out, they couldn’t find Zero and Garnet. They went to Dali to rest for a while.
