Love & War: The Outcast Chapter By: Krelian Episode 2: A wedding. A perfect moment that becomes a flaw. "General Tim, where are you going? I thought you were going to start to get ready for the wedding?" Asked John confused to see that the General was going down through the elevator to the lower levels of the base. "1st Lieutenant John, I didn't get much sleep last night because of the meeting, and tomorrow I have to work on some papers for the pentagon, so I need to rest. Send my regards to Chris and Leanne for me. I'll give them my present tomorrow first thing in the morning.Goodnight Liutenant!" Said Tim as the doors of the elevator closed. 2nd Lieutenant Chris and Sergeant Major Leanne had fallen in love after many years of working in the FS base. This military-working facility, was filled with cadets, workers, civilians and high ranked officials, who, among other duties, protected the base and upgraded it every day to empower it with the latest weapons and other military technology. This was the first time a wedding was to take place between two workers of the base. In fact, this was the first wedding to take place in all the history of the base. Although all of the staffers and some of the civilians knew about this wedding, not everyone was joyous about it. "I can't believe I was not invited man! How could that happen! Although I'm fairly new here, I'm supposed to be considered as staff and invited!" shouted Cadet Enrique angrily while looking through the window that had a view of the mall in Sub Level 1. "Don't worry about it Enrique. I was invited, yet I cannot assist because I have an order to go to a military facility more than 20 miles from here to deliver a note from General Tim. I really wish I could attend it." said David disapointed while looking at the window too. "Well, even If I was invited I doubt I would go. I don't like Chris' attitude and Leanne, well I don't know her much. Even so, I had to be invited! I am part of the staff." said Enrique as his eyes suddenly focused on a girl walking in Sub Level 1. "Well, I think they didn't invite you because of the incident you had with them when they tried to get in the main room. You didn't know them, and although they had ID's, you didn't let tem in. I think you told me that you thought they looked suspicious. Hahaha! Anyways, what is it your looking at down there?" Asked David as he laughed. "There, that girl with brown hair, near that red tree," pointed Enrique out. "Hahahaha. Oh yes, I see her now. I think she transferred to our base a while ago. I think her name is Mandy. Pretty isn't she? Noted David. "Indeed. She has a very intense beauty. Somehow, I feel strange when I see her. Maybe she will make a difference in my life someday. Heheheh." said Enrique as he walked away from the window. "Well Sergeant David, I'll just go and eat something. "Ok Cadet Enrique. I too have to leave at once to the other base. Talk to you tomorrow. Later!" Said David as he took his bag and left the base. Meanwhile, in the Outcast main post, a few kilometers south from the base... "Did you hear Lavos? They are having a wedding in one of the rooms of the Main floor of the FS base! This is our chance to pay them back for throwing us off the base." shouted SolidRay desperately. "Do you have an idea how tight their security is? Last battle, we lost too many men and I am not willing to take more casualties! Shouted Lavos as he started to fix his hair. "Don't you see Lavos? This is our chance to strike! I am sure they are going to lower their defenses because many of the officials will attend the wedding. The couple getting married are high ranked officials. I am sure security won't be so tight," explained Sugpo. "Yes! We just have to plan it right, and we might be even able to reach Sub Level 3! Imagine it! Taking over the computer by complete! We would be so powerful!" Exclaimed Roogle. "Hmmm. You guys might be right. I'm sure we will get them by surprise if we attacked them just at the middle of the wedding. I'll think of what we can do, and I will come back here in an hour. In the meantime, do whatever you want," said Lavos as he stood up and got inside of his room, closing his door and windows. Lavos, the leader and mastermind of the Rebel Group known as the Outcast began to think of a plan on how to attack the FS base during the ceremony. In the meantime, other outcasts were already getting prepared for the attack... "Girls, I want you to infiltrate in the Fantasysquare base, disguised as whatever you want, and call us using your cell phones when you know exactly when the ceremony begins. I also want you to tell us how tight is the security around the base. Achieve these two objectives at all costs!" Explained PS2. "Yes Sir! We will do our best. TO THE FALL OF THE BASE!" Shouted both RV and Snowy. "That's the spirit girls. NBahamut, I want you to accompany the girls. Just make sure no guard tries to capture them if they are uncovered. Keep an eye on them. I entrust them to you." said PS2 as he gave NBahamut a gun. "You bet I will take care of them. I too want a piece of those bastards at FS. I'll blow someone's head if things stir up!" Said NBahamut proudly as he got in the car with the girls and drove north towards FS. The car with the first reconnaissance group left for FS. The first step had been taken already by the outcasts. The attack was in its first stage. An hour passed, and Lavos finally left his room and got inside the meeting room. "Gentlemen, I have the perfect plan. First we need to get a reconnaissance squad to-" said Lavos as he was interrupted. "I already did that Sir! I dispatched Snowy, RV and NBahamut to the FS base to inform us about the situation," explained PS2. "Good. Then I will explain. If the girls inform us that security is light, we are all going to mobilize all of our troops and use all of our machina in the attack. Everyone will have a role in this attack: PS2, you will be in charge of one half of the armed forces and lead them into the base. We will inform you when you can come in and attack. SolidRay, you will lead the other half of the armed forces and also lead them into their base. Don't hold anything back! Sugpo, you and I will use the mainframe inside the main room of the main level to deactivate the main computer, which is called "Q." If we suceed, we will have control of the entire base and it will be ours! Of course, we need a lot of time to be able to hack into the computer, so we depend on the protection of PS2 and SolidRay. Roogle, I want you to stay behind and use the mainframe we have here and flood the main computer of them with information and anything you can. That way, they will be busy trying to fight you off while we hack into the computer. If everything goes right, we will finally take control of the entire base, and set our reign of terror! Long live the Outcasts!" shouted Lavos as he prepared for the attack. Everything was ready for the attack. The spies had been sent, the plan was ready and all the outcasts weapons and army was already organized. PS2 and SolidRay will be in charge of the army, Roogle will distract the workers in the main room while Sugpo and Lavos hack into the main computer to deactivate Q completely. The army was already advancing at slow pace waiting for the signal by RV and the others to assault the FS base at full force. Meanwhile, back at the FS base... "Goodnight Cadet Enrique! How's everything?" Asked Captain Luke, as he approached the door of the main room. "Everything is OK Captain! The night couldn't be more quiet! By the way, since General Tim and Sergeant David aren't going to be in our base and in their posts, who is going to take on their duties?" asked Enrique. "Relax my friend! Everything will be alright! There's nothing to worry about; we won the last battle against the Outcasts, and I'm sure they won't bother us for a while." explained Luke. Commander Dave with Cadet LH83 came out of the elevator as Luke and Enrique were talking. Dave, already with his formal tuxedo for the wedding approached Luke. LH83, on the other hand, talked to Enrique. "Hey Luke! Aren't you ready yet? The wedding is in about two hours! You should be getting ready soon!" said Dave. "You are right Commander! Let me go get changed and we will meet at the ceremony!" said Luke as he left to change in Sub Level 2. "Hey Enrique! I came back from my routinary checkout of the Sub Level 3 area. Everything is so quiet and creepy down there that I thought of coming here to hang out with you," said LH83 as he removed his cap. "Are you sure you should be here? You need to protect Sub Level 3, am I right? It seems security is getting lighter everywhere!" said Enrique as he began to worry. "Don't worry about that Cadet! Today we have a wedding, and everyone should rejoice and attend it! Everything will be alright my friend! If you want LH83, you can stay here with Enrique protecting the main room so that you don't get so bored in Sub Level 3," suggested Dave. "Thank you sir! You can rest assured nothing will happen!" shouted LH83. Dave left, leaving the two cadets with the duty of guarding the main room. Security had never been a flaw or problem in FS base, since it was always very tight. Tonight would become the exception: there was no one in charge of protecting Sub Level 3, and most of the military personnel that guarded the main room and the main frame were getting ready for the wedding. John promised Enrique to check out the main room every once in a while in case of an emergency, which didn't lessen up the worries of Enrique, since he knew that there was not enough man- power available to battle the Outcasts in case of an attack. This premonition, was to become very soon real, and change the lives of many... ~~~~~~~~~~ Dedicated to all the men and women, who lost their lives or lost their loved ones during, and after the attack.
