Return Part II

Ramza set down his heavy boots on the soft, fresh earth as he looked back at his 
sister who was way behind him. 
"Hurry up Alma" Ramza ordered his sister 
"I'm going" Alma cried back 
The two have been traveling for almost a weekn now and yet have they reached 
just half the distance. 
"Our Chocobos are tired and thirsty as well" Alma announces to her brother as she 
pats one in the head. 
"We'll stop for a while then we'll move on" Ramza tells Alma 
Alma ties the two Chocobos to a fat, sturdy three as she goes for a drink in the 
fresh waters of the flowing river. Ramza sits by the tree near their fine Chocobos 
As Alma glances down on ehr reflection in the gushing waters, she sees a tiny glint 
below the riverbank. A shining and pretty stone. Alma gets curious and starts to 
reach out for it. 
Alma gets the shining stone from the river and examines it very well. She gets 
shocked and hurls the stone away realizing what it is. Ramza sees Alma's fright 
and comes to her sister's rescue. 
"What happened???" Ramza asked woth concern 
"Z-- Z-- Zo-- Ma-- Magic-- Magic Stone!!!" Alma struggles to get the words out 
from her trembling lips. Ramza acts calmly. 
Ramza finds the small piece of rock from which Alma had threw it away. He picks 
up the rock and carefully examines it. 
"Zodiac Stone!!!" Ramza too gets frightened by the stone's appearance. 
Ramza and Alma have lived lives in pain, suffering and horror starting when they 
had known the Zodiac Stones.Til now Ramza and Alma still remember the stones 
that killed many and slaughtered innocent. They still remembered that Cardinal 
Draclau was changed into Queklain, Wiegraf turns into Velius and Ramza's own 
brother, Dycedarg into Adramelk. True that the stones have destroyed many lives 
and dignities. 
Alma sees Ramza and hurries over this time it's her turn. 
"What's wrong???" Alma asks. 
"You're right, the stones are back!!!" Ramza cries furiously. 
"Calm down, at least no one's hear to use it... Anyway what's the symbol of the 
white stone???" Alma eagerly questions losing fear. 
"I dunno. Never seen it before, the stone's practically different from the others" 
Ramza answers. 
"Wonder how it got this far..." Alma asks herself. 
Ramza pockets the stone and starts towards the Chocobos when he hears them 
squawking and crying. 
"Now what's wrong?!?!?!" Ramza asks angrily. 
"The Chocobos are afraid of something" Alma shouts to her brother as she tries her 
best to comfort them. 
"Must be this stone" Ramza says. 
"Then throw that stone away! It's giving us problems again brother!!!" Alma 
shouts frustrated. 
"No way! Some travelers might end up turning into demons or weird monsters 
again. Surely you wouldn't have that happen would you???" Ramza questions 
Alma. 
"Okay. But we should probably leave the Chocobos and find another town to stop 
by. I'm getting hungry anyways" Alma groans and rubs her stomach. 
"Fine with me, but by dusk were moving on again" Ramza announces as he picks 
up his things and his sword as well. 
Ramza remembers fading but strong memories from the sword too. From the time 
he was a Cadet, till the time he killed Bloody Angel. 

That night Ramza kept the stone in his room while Alma slept on. He lied down 
and thought of many things, many memories, many battles and many important 
people. Ramza didn't realize it but he doze off... 
Ramza landed another step on the fresh and clean earth of the outer surroundings 
of Ivalice. Finally they had made it with some help from Superior Chocobo 
Carriages. 
"This land gives me back my old self..." Alma says as she lets the wind blow her 
very long hair away. 
"Me too... I still remember..." Ramza chimes in as he too lets the soft breeze blow 
on his face. 
Ramza remebers the stone and his bag annd pulls it out... 
"Holy!!!" Ramza screams in fright as he drops the stone. The stone is covered 
blood and scars... Bloody little faces line the stone... Faces from Ovelia... Delita... 
Dycedarg... Goltana... Izlude... and lots more including his former friends... Agrias 
and Meliadoul. 
"Eeeeekkkk!!!" Alma screams too in fright as she sees the stone. The Chocobos 
squawk and howl in fright as the Chocobo driver is stunned by the view. 
"No! This can't be happening... This can't happen... Not ever!!!" Ramza screams.
