CACTAUR HUNTING
 
Yeah, Cactaurs, those little cute fools that are worth 20 AP a peice.
low HP usually around 800, ya wouldnt think this would be a hard task,
well these little bastards are also the most chicken creatures of the game,
and about the only ones (that i've come across anyways) that will run
from a fight, so here's a pretty simple trick to rack up on that AP.
 
Initiative comes in handy if ya have it, equip Irvine with it.
keep Irvines HP low to allow his shot break limit.
 
Using both of these usually allows Irvine to use his break limit as soon
as a fight starts.  Now go to cactuar island just south east of Kashkabald Desert.
(or dead east of edea's house)
 
Make sure you don't have enc-none on and go find em, cactar island will usually produce
3 or 4 cactuars at a time, when the fight starts, and irvine's break limit is available, if it's not
hit circle a couple times (playstation) until you see the arrow right off the attack command.. 
press over and choose "SHOT" and choose "SHOTGUN AMMO" this will allow you to hit
every enemy on the screen. hit the trigger button. 1 or 2 shots should do it (also depending 
on your level and how you have your magic junctioned, when you shot and it says "0" for 
them all their dead.  then you move onto the next group and repeat the process.. learn those
high AP abilities in no time! (up to 80 AP possible in a single fight, hows that for ya? Shotgun 
ammo is cheap and can be bough at nearly any store in the game!)
 
*NOTE:  while on cactuar island. there's a cactus that likes to pop his head up now and 
again, avoid him until your ready, this GF can have up to half a million HP depending on 
your current level.  he's not hard.. just has a lot of HP. use leviathian and Irvines break limit 
AP AMMO and he should go down fairly easy.  Cast meltdown or even this big bastard will 
run off and you get to start over!

I found that trick works quite well, but of course shotgun ammo was dealing around 1000-1500
at this point in the game i was on. but anyhow, works well for me, and i didnt see it up anyplace..
most texts on cactuars are "use lion heart" yada yada.  this is much easier than having to go collect
all those rare items if you dont already have the lion heart, (which i did, but out of 4, 2 usually still run away)
this dont even give em the chance :)
