Some of them tell you how to upgrade your weapons while others teach you new limit breaks. Even some tell you about the character Laguna. Without the magazines you'll have a hard time defeating the bosses without the proper weapons and limits. So here is a complete list of all the magazines and their locations AND a description of what they do. Hope you like it and it helps. They do NOT upgrade them for you but give you the right materials and the quantity of them to upgrade them. The other limit breaks for other characters are either in other magazines or are gained by getting a certain weapon. So if you don't plan on using Zell(at all) then you don't really need to get these. It also give you info on secret locations and things like that in the FF8 world.
