Physically the Black Mage
is the weakest character. They have the lowest HP and virtually
no attack power. However, they learn the best offensive spells
of the game. He is perfect for taking down enemies quickly,
but must be protected in a fight. He is a powerful addition
to any party, but in Normal mode his spell casting abilities
are limited. He has very low MP score, meaning a Red Mage's
balance of magic and physical strength is often a better choice.
He is best suited to an Easy mode party. Upon his class change,
he can learn spells up to level 8, but stays similar to the
Black Mage in stats.
