The Red Mage has been hailed
as the most well-rounded character in the game. He can use
both black and white magic up to level 7 after his class change
and equip many of the games more powerful armor and weapons.
In normal mode the Red Mage can be more useful then the Black
Mage who has more limited MP. Upon changing class, he can
equip more weapons and cast many more spells. His usefulness
goes down however, as the game progresses.
