Final Fantasy - FAQs/Guides - Status Conditions

During the game there are many magical effects which raise and lower stats, some beneficial and some are hurtful. The following tables lists all the status effects in the game and divides them into positive and negative effects.

The character takes damage each turn of the battle, and for each step taken after the battle

The character is put to sleep and they are unable to move or act -- but they snore loudly!

The character is unable to cast spells

When the character's HP reaches zero, that character is knocked out
Life1, Life2, visiting a Sanctuary and make a donation

Paralysis
The character becomes unable to move or act
Ends after a period of time

The character's Accuracy and Evade scores drop

Your character is turned to stone and can take no action

Confusion - Caused by the Muddle spell
This effects only enemies! A confused enemy will attack it's comrades at random
