Fantasy - Secrets - Tombstones
In Elfheim (Elfland in the NES version) there are three tombstones.
Two of the tombstones are ordinary and read "R.I.P.", but
the one on the far left is very special and dates the games. In the
NES version it is the tomb of King Erdrick. Anyone who is familiar
with Square Enix will recognize this as the king from the Dragon Quest
series. Before the companies medged, they had a long standing confict
over whose series was the best (the Dragon Quest series outselling
Final Fantasy by leaps and bounds in Japan). In the PS version it
was changed however, to have Link from the Zelda series on it.
