Summon Magic Summon magic can only be cast by summoners, and in this game, it happens to be Rydia. As a summoner, she can call upon an entity to come into battle and aid the party in some way. The summons then attack the enemy, or heal or assist the party with magic. Rydia learns the summons by levelling up, or by gaining them through events or with items. Characters Rydia is the only character that can call summons into battle.
