Song Lyrics ~Melodies of Life~ In a tradition started in Final Fantasy VIII, each Final Fantasy from then on has had a vocal theme sung by a leading artist in Japan. In Final Fantasy 9 the name of the song is Melodies of Life and there are two versions. One is the original Japanese version and the other is the North American english version. Both are sung by Emiko Shiratori, who was hand picked by Nobuo Uematsu himself. In this section there will be the original Japanese version (with translation) and the english version. Surprisingly while both versions share similar themes, their lyrics are quite different from one another. So take a look and maybe you can sing along to your favourite version (come on you know you want to!) |
