Final Fantasy Tactics - FAQs/Guides - Negative Status Anomalies

Units who have been afflicted with certain spells or weapons can end up suffering from various status anomalies. Once afflicted the unit may or may not return to normal over a period of time. Recovery from each condition differs with each case. Below is a list of anomilies and their cures.

Poison
Slowly lowers the unit's HP.
Antidote, Remedy, Esuna, Stigma Magic, Heal
Sleep
The character is put to sleep and they are unable to move or act -- but they snore loudly!
Remedy, Physical attack, Stigma Magic, Esuna
Silence
Can't use magic
Echo Grass, Remedy, Stigma Magic, Esuna
Darkness
Lowers accuracy
Eye Drops, Remedy, Stigma Magic, Esuna, Heal
Confusion
Causes unit to act randomly, uncluding attacks, spells, and use of items
Remedy, Physical attack, Stigma Magic, Esuna
Charm
Attacks allied units
Sustaining an attack
Berserk
Continues attacking the closest units, without taking any command inputs
Esuna, Stigma Magic
Death Sentence
The character dies after three turns
Incurable
Don't Move
The character cannot move, but can still perform actions
Esuna, Stigma Magic
Don't Act
The character cannot act, but can still move
Esuna, Stigma Magic
Petrify
The character is turned to stone.
Soft, Remedy, Esuna, Stigma Magic
Oil
The character takes double damage next time a fire elemental attack hits them
Remedy, fire elemental attack
Frog
Seals all abilities bar attack and "Frog" magic
Maiden's Kiss, Remedy, Stigma Magic, Esuna, Frog
Chicken
The character is turned into a chicken. They leave the party if they are still a chicken at the end of the battle. They also get a strange craving for corn...
Raise the character's Brave above 5 (Cheer, Praise)
Undead
The character is damaged by restorative items/spells.
Holy Water
Cannot Fight
The character is unconcious. They will die forever after 3 turns, turning into a crystal.
Phoenix Down, Raise, Raise 2, Revive
