Body Models
Aladdin

Originally Aladdin was indented to be much younger,
about Mowgli from The Jungle Book's age. Since Jasmine was 16 it
didn't' make any sense that she would be attracted to a kid, so
they decided to make him older. At first the animators wanted him
to look like Michael J. Fox, but then later decided to make him
look more like Tom Cruise.
Alice
The inspiration for Alice comes from both Sir John
Tenniel's (the original illustrator for Alice in Wonderland) works
and the voice actress Kathryn Beaumont, who later provided the voice
for Wendy in Peter Pan. In 1983 Kathryn recorded new Alice narration
for the Alice in Wonderland ride at Disneyland. She also recorded
the voice of Alice and Wendy for Kingdom Hearts.
Ariel

The model for Ariel is highly debated. Actress Sherri
Stoner is rumored to be the body model for both Belle and Ariel.
However, the inspiration for her facial features is unknown. Disney
claims many of her features came from the voice actress for Ariel,
Jodie Benson. Actress Alyssa Milano claims the facial model for
Ariel was designed after her. Neither of these rumors can be confirmed.
Aurora

Audrey Hepburn influenced Princess Aurora's character
design.
Princess Jasmine

The model for Princess Jasmine is none other then
actress/model Jennifer Connelly and bears heavy resemblance to her.
Squall Leonhart (Leon)
The model for Squall Leonhart is popular J-rock
artist Gackt. He discussed the character on a TV show after the
game was released calling Squall "Gackt #2". In fact Gackt
wore an outfit similar to Squall's in a CD Booklet which was released
March of 1998. He also wore it in the music video for his song "Illuminati".
The first character model of Squall was completed later that year
in October.
Wendy Darling

Despite the fact Alice in Wonderland was not considered
a success in the in 1950's, Walt Disney immediately called Kathryn
Beaumont in to do both the voice acting and the model for Wendy.
She also dressed up as Wendy and acted in a Disney special and voiced
her in Kingdom Hearts as well as at the Peter Pan Disneyland ride.
Chembog

Chernabog, featured in the Disney rendition of "A Night on
Bald Mountain", was modelled after cult superstar Bella Lugosi.
In the early days of silent movies Lugosi dominated the screen as
Dracula. Due to his drug addiction problem his popularity declined
sharply in his later years. He became the first actor to admit himself
(with the help of director Ed Wood) into a rehabilitaion center,
and the notoriety made him once again a public figure. His menacing
form became the perfect basis for Chernabog, named after the Slavonic
god of evil.
