The Spirits Within - World Re-Creation

Nakazawa was the Concept Artist who created the basic look and feel
for the movies buildings, objects, and landscapes. While creating
them he tried to keep in mind that Dr. Sid was born in 1995 and
the movie opens in 2065. This means that current generations would
still be living at the time of the movie. However, due to the Phantom
evasion the global population totals 170 million people living in
only 92 cities and 481 military facilities. The task for Square
USA's set designers was to bring this to life in our own futuristic
world.
